State and federal authorities are searching for a tractor-trailer in Texas that may be smuggling about 80 undocumented immigrants, and some of them may already be dead. It’s a desperate search for alleged victims of a human trafficking operation, trapped in the back of a tanker truck. The 911 call is difficult to listen to, one of several from someone alleging to be in the tanker with other immigrants. The caller said they were out of oxygen. The comments are translated from Spanish:
Operator: “Do you see anything?”
Caller: “No, no we can’t see anything, God, we don’t have oxygen.”
Dispatcher: “You are next to the highway?”
Caller: “Yes, I hear the cars.”
Caller: “A tanker. A white tanker.”
Dispatcher: “White?”
Caller: “Yes. We are like 80 people.”
Dispatcher: “Do you remember who was driving?”
Caller: “No we don’t know who. Help!”
Dispatcher: “Do you have another cell phone?”
Caller: “Help! Holy be God, help!”
Operator: “Where did you start this trip? ... I lost him.”

As for the trailer, tank trucks are constructed of various materials depending on what products they are hauling. These materials include aluminium, carbon steel, stainless steel, and fiberglass reinforced plastic............
Is English your second language? If you interpreted what I wrote into a scenario where there are no happy endings in life then you need to go back to school and retake basic English grammar. BTW my spouse is sitting here next to me. She read all of our back and forth then concluded that you must be drunk or off of your meds. We will try to cope with your displeasure.
In 1964 I saw this movie on TV! The plot was about a Semi Tanker truck in a similar ordeal. “The Jack is High”.
The story line is told on this “Spoiler review” https://www.imdb.com/review/rw2709010/?ref_=rw_urv
I pray this story today ends better!

MythBusters is no longer on TV. That would have been a good one to look into. Could a cell phone signal propagate between a cell tower and the inside of a tanker truck? My 40 year career in telecommunications with the USAF, ITT, Sprint, MCI rolled into retirement from Verizon after 31 years tells me not a chance.
If a Faraday Cage blocks electromagnetic signals, a solid metal jacket does too.
The truck in the snapshot from the video did not look like it had a fiberglass and plastic composite construction.
Nor is there evidence that that was without doubt the truck in question............
I don't find it useful to argue whether or not people are dying in a potential horrible situation.
The growing lack of humanity and compassion on this site is becoming disturbing........
No, they should have been caught at the border. If you must open the trailer, release them immediately back to Mexican officials and emergency personnel. At no point should they be allowed to stay in the US for any longer than it takes them, alive or dead to get back across the border. Sadly, history shows that if they get to stay—treatment, processing, etc.—they win the US lottery with healthcare, education, work permits, and so forth.
If we were to process them, give them choice to return to Mexico after life-saving treatment OR if we must let them stay in the US, ABSOLUTELY NO WORK PERMITS. Release them to a responsible organization or person that accepts responsibility for their house, food, healthcare, etc.
Just another day in South Central Texas in the Slow Joe/Camel Harris human trafficking supply business.
When people are committing a crime and suffer from how they chose to do it, I am okay with that.
If in this case they were kidnapped, this is tragic.
It's you who have made it a mandatory choice bro, I simply took the humanitarian and compassionate side and accepted the 911 call for help for what it was......a call for help.
Whatever else you politically read into it is your business, and you might want to reconsider this site's claim to be Christian. Since your comments do not reflect any Christian compassion that is obviously disappearing from this website..........
Committing crime has consequences.
I don’t blame desperate (and largely ignorant) people for trying something they think will lead to a better life. I do blame those who support keeping them because they are cheap labor or can be used as tools in the revolution.
Save them, nurse them back to health, then send them back.
And if it’s too late, RIP.
Am I correct to presume this was a fake call, since we’ve seen nothing in the news about it since? How many law-enforcement and border patrol were diverted to this, so that how many people could cross the border unimpeded?
