I live on the SC coast!
Has this ever happened to you?
I turned off all emergency alerts on my cell phone. I would get nationwide Amber alerts any hour of the day.
You can turn amber alerts off in your phone settings
Yup. A number of times. It’s alarming when it’s late at night
Amber alert went out last night in Arizona too. A father without custody drove off with the baby while the mother held on to the car. Baby survived with injuries but mother later died.
I get one every several months, always hundreds of miles away from me.

Did you get a new phone?
I had an old dumb phone until AT&T informed me that older technology phones would not be supported on the network. So I got an iPhone. And now I get alerts.
It happened for the first time a few days ago...I thought it was my fire alarm...
Has happened to me a few times. Trouble is, the abductions were several hundred miles away.
I finally turned the alerts feature off in my settings.
we turned that stuff to off!
Its a good thing I was in my house and not driving in the car...I startled me so much I might have run off the road...
I turned off these “emergency alerts.” There is NO way they can be of any help to me while I’m home sleeping! I’m sick of the government telling me what I should be concerned over.
They already keep the public in a state of heightened anxiety through the broadcast media!
I got that same alert. Stupid woman left her toddler and her dog in the back seat of her Lexus, with the driver’s door open and the car running, while she went inside the lobby of a motel. Surprise surprise! A dindu got in the car and drove away. Mother of the Year came running outside afterward. She’ll probably get the kid back.
I had a Silver alert for someone named Joseph Biden the other day.
Time to go back to pictures on milk cartons.
I turned those notifications OFF. What am I going to do about some “Amber” Alert? Most of that stuff happens in the big cities. We don’t have a lot of abductions in rural Alabama, at least not that I know of.
