Rebuild Better… But Rebuild What?
American Thinker ^ | 10 Feb, 2021 | Mark Andrew Dwyer

"Rebuild better" the left says, suggesting a demolition of what we currently have. I say, start with Human Resources Departments.

President Biden, his administration, and many others in the US and elsewhere are suggesting that modern Western capitalism is so bad that it needs to be dismantled and replaced with something else. "Rebuild better" they say, which -- among other things -- suggests a demolition of what we currently have.

They are partially right. There are some things that exist in America, today, that are so detrimental to our national freedom and well-being that need to be dismantled, but the free market and constitutional protections of individual liberties, cornerstones of the modern Western capitalism, are not among them. Things that need to be dismantled are the following institutions that suffer from cancer of Marxism or its neo-Marxist derivatives that have metastasized from Soviet Union, Frankfurt (Germany), and some other places after WWII, and has produced its virulent variants here that pose a grave threat to our Republic and the good lives that it has been offering to common Americans.

One of the points Jeffrey Tucker made in an article I recently posted is that they have destroyed something essential to capitalism and the development of capital: legal certainty and certainty of the future.

People only invest based on their expectations for the future, and the same is true for any other form of capital building, including human capital. People only study to become mechanics or dancers or whatever because they expect that they are investing their time in a future reward for their labors. And they need to feel they have the right to do so, made up of all the other rights and freedoms (speech, movement, association, etc.)

The government just showing it can shut all of this down and take all of it away from you at any time the government feels like it has completely destroyed this essential condition of capitalism, certainty of the future and the certainty of the law.

We just saw our Constitution and its guarantees abruptly suspended and we saw the future suddenly become unpredictable, entirely dependent on the whim of the government and out of our reasonable control.

“Rebuilding” must include preventing this from ever happening again.

Globalism and ridiculously high levels of LEGAL immigration are killing capitalism in the USA.

At some time during the last 60 years the words of John F Kennedy became twisted to:

Ask not what you can do for your country – ask what your country can do for you.

“Build Back Better”, wasn’t it?

That’s exactly what was happening under Trump’s policies until the Chinese Communist bio-weapons attack.

My candidate for destroy and rebuild from scratch is US Code Title 26. Scrap everything in the tax code and rebuild so everything fits in a small pamphlet. Eliminate all social engineering.

Build back Better. That means first you need to destroy everything if it requires to be built back.

And all rebuilt from magical swipes of a pen. Just sign an EO and poof. Factories pop out of the ground like mushrooms.
