Chad Pergram:
1) From colleague David Spunt and me:
Multiple sources have told Fox they are having a challenging time bringing homicide charges in connection with the death of USCP Officer Brian Sicknick. Sicknick died just after the riot. No cause of death has been given.
2) Fox was told immediately after Sicknick’s death that authorities would treat the probe as a homicide investigation.
It is unclear if Sicknick died from exposure to chemical irritants, a blow to the head or something else.
3) Sicknick’s remains were cremated before he laid in honor in the Capitol Rotunda last week.
The FBI and U.S. Capitol Police are going through tips related to Sicknick’s death and soliciting more every day.
4) Authorities are asking anyone with information to call 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324)
ANOTHER DISGUSTING LIE from the DEMOCRATS!!!
Do you have a link?
Early on, before the official narrative got going, it was said that he had died of a stroke the next day. It was the result of a long-existing medical condition (I assume probably very high blood pressure). When the police spokesman announced it, he was asked if it had anything to do with the events of the day before, and he said, simply, “No.” (I am sure that if it was high blood pressure, stress and anxiety may have had something to do with it, but even that occurred the next day.)
Officer Sicknick apparently left the commotion complaining that he had gotten mace or pepper spray in his eyes, and never mentioned anything about being hit with a fire extinguisher. There seems to have been a brawl somewhere between police and somebody (Antifa? Protesters?) that involved a fire extinguisher, and in one case an empty fire extinguisher was tossed into the crowd of both police and civilians below the terrace, but apparently Officer Sicknick wasn’t involved in either of these.
These are all things that were reported in the first day or so, along with reporting on the other deaths - 1 heart attack, one stroke and a woman who died of breathing difficulties, probably an asthma attack. Of course, these people are also being described as “slain” or “murdered,” even though for a crowd of some 500,000, deaths from these causes are almost to be expected. But now the Dem narrative of “murder” has been established, while in reality the only person who was actually murdered was Ashli Babbit, the woman who jumped into the window inside the building.
This, at any rate, is what I remember from the initial reporting.
I thought the big funeral and description of the poor man as “slain” showed such a level of cynical manipulation that it was a new low even for the Dems.
The family issued a statement shortly after his death, probably down the memory hole now, that he had a medical condition and that they would like their privacy to be respected and for his death not to be politicized. So much for respecting the family’s wishes.
I read another article, believe it not, on CNN that said there was no evidence of blunt force trauma, that all the video of the event was examined frame by frame, and no injury to Sicknick was seen. Yet, they continue to say he was “slain” by the rioters. I even saw Victor Davis Hanson on TV last night saying that “5 peop;le were killed at the riot”. That’s how much brainwashing has been done regarding this rather minor event.
The “5 people killed” consisted of one woman who fell which caused someone to fall on top of her, an accidental death.
Two people died of heart attacks.
Sicknick who obviously died of a condition unrelated to the event.
Asli Babbitt who was shot and killed by an unidentified “security agent” of some type.
In other words, Ashli Babbitt was the ONLY person actually killed that day.
Or, after a foot-chase, an officer doesn’t feel well and later dies of a heart attack or stroke at home after his shift is over.
Happened to my dad. He survived the attack but needed implants and bypasses. Disabled off job and had to fight to have it ruled job connected. Dr Efler of Cleveland Clinic did his surgery. Only good news was it delayed my departure to Vietnam to MACV-Phoenix. Orders cancelled.
I especially hate the narrative of “armed invasion”. From my knowledge, I know of no protester found with a firearm. One would think if one were invading they would at least have a few ARs and such.
I still say the lady who got shot was selected to be killed. The “agent” sighted a few people and then shot her. She looked really threatening (s).
I am involved in a civil rights lawsuit with almost exactly the same issue: While being detained by police, citizen gets beat up, tased, and pepper sprayed. While in handcuffs, has a seizure, taken to the hospital. Dies the next day without regaining consciousness. Cause of death basically organ failure related to acute rhabdomyolysis. Autopsy shows bruising and abrasions, but no life-threatening blunt force trauma. But death certificate denotes homicide. Citizen was overweight, but otherwise healthy man in his early 20s.
Autopsy finds he died due to a drug overdose, but that finding is based solely on the police officers’ claim that he was behaving as if he was intoxicated. Badge can footage and eye witness testimony contradicts the officers’ claim. Post-Morten toxicology tests for over 150 drugs, finds nothing but a small amount of THC.
So far, there are some theories on the plaintiffs’ side, one of which is related to the OC exposure. Nothing definitive yet, but the case is still in its early stages.
Really?? I had not been following this as close as I should have.
The family likely chose it. Note that an autopsy has been conducted, but report hasn't been released yet (as per a related CNN article). The city officials are likely choosing hold it so that the impeachment trial will conclude before it is released. The family (also per the CNN report) has said there were "medical issues", too. My view is that the autopsy report will vindicate protesters, which is why the officials are not releasing it. An FOIA lawsuit will will take weeks, and even the family would be required to file one, if the city refused to release the report.
Sicknick was a Trump supporter. The family right off said they did not want his death politicized. They also said the cause of death was unknown.
However, it seems they were persuaded into becoming political pawns. I’m sure its not hard to manipulate people on grief.
That 5 is now 7 according to the lawyers for the democrats in the impeachment trial. Next week it will be 10.
The only people who were "slain" that day died directly or indirectly as a result of the actions of the incompetent Capitol police.
Nobody, not a single person, was killed by the protestors.
True story.
Thank you. I do remember this now.
Just like they're not releasing anything on the coward who murdered Ashli Babbit.
The only people "slain" on January 6, 2021 were slain by the government.
Because two cops who were there killed themselves weeks later.
