A recent survey by LawnStarter ranked Pittsburgh as the third best city for pizza lovers.
The survey looked into factors such as the average cost of pizza, how many pizzerias there are per resident, and how many people search for pizza delivery.
New York took home the top spot followed by Chicago.

Angelia’s pizza in Moon Township, near the Pittsburgh Airport has been around for ages and makes a pretty good pie.
Gino’s Cedar Park Texas.
Conan’s Austin Texas (Chicago style)
Angelos 57th street NYC
Flat Creek Winery Marble Falls Tx
Only to retards who never had CT pizza.
I doubt these insta-studies ever delist Cici’s Pizza, Papa Johns Pizza, and Dominos Pizza.
If you REALLY love pizza you don’t eat these.
Can we also count the frozen pizzas in the grocers’ (Tortino’s on up)?
They cite Dallas.
I am sorry. Umm no.
Excellent,
Pizzeria Uno Chicago, IL
But Conan’s Austin is much closer and very similar pizza!
Ping.
When they calculate the number of pizzarias per resident, do they include chain places like Pizza Hut and Dominos and Little Caesar’s?
NW Pa, NE Oh, know how to make pizza.
But is deep dish really a pizza?
More like a pizza casserole in a pie crust.
I doubt it.
I lived in NJ for nine years. Great pizzas in our small town. Went back there with the kids about 4 years ago. The best pizza shop in town (family run, 40+ years) was on it’s last week.
It was fun (and sad) to enjoy the place with our kids for one last time. The kids were amazed at what a “real” pizza tasted like!
I didn’t look at the list, but I’m guessing that Seattle didn’t make it!
Plea$e tell me taxpayer$ didn’t pay for this $tudy. I can tell you the re$ult of most $tudie$: More $tudie$ needed.
No it was privately done.
I’ve had pizzas from multiple mom and pop pizza shops in and around Pittsburgh, and they are as good as any pizza I’ve had in Chicago (never had pizza in NYC, so I can’t compare).
I never had a Joisy pie, and understand the crust and sauce are key.
Anyone can add toppings, but you need a good pizza to put it on.
Modern, Sallys & Pepe’s, all of New Haven, CT. Real a’beetz.
Dallas is possibly one notch above Pakistan on the pizza destinations hierarchy.
The are is crawling with mom and pop shops and they are all excellent.
