PLAINS, Pennsylvania — An argument between neighbors over shoveling snow turned deadly when a man fatally shot two people, then took his own life, according to reports.
WGAL Channel 8 reports James Goy, 50, and Lisa Goy, 48, were shoveling snow Monday morning from parking spots in front of their residence. Luzerne County prosecutors say the couple was shoveling the snow onto the property of Jeffrey Spaide, 47, who lived across the street.
WNEP Channel 16 reports Spaide also was outside shoveling and asked the couple to stop shoveling snow onto his property. All three began arguing, reports say.

You’re correct. If the area in front of the retaining wall next to the street was part of the guys property, he certainly could not be harmed by placing snow there.
Every winter, a certain number of people die from snow shoveling.

I used to live up the hill in Mountain Top. When the snow fell you had to be polite with your shoveling, and lots of neighbors have guns.
Still a multiple tragedy and it made its way all through Europe where they hate our gun cuture. Got several friends texting their bewilderment.
I think all the lockdown and media negativity is having an effect as well.

Well, there is the issue of just where the gov’t snow plow truck is going to push the snow as the truck moves along the tow sides of the street.
Best not to put your snow where the truck is going to push it across the front of my already shoveled driveway.

The couples problem was that they were foul mouthed confrontational idiots. They could have backed off when the guy missed the 1st few shots, but stood there for him to recollect and aim better.
Why the heck would they cross the street shouting insults as the guy scurried home? Do stupid things and unfortunately sometimes you win stupid prizes.
Right about that. Don’t think it was about shoveling snow across the street.

The husband of the loud mouth insane woman made a threat saying he’d “make his life effing miserable”.
Some guys don’t take threats too well.
Combine low impulse control, with aggressive attitudes, a mutual hatred, and COVID-19 lockdowns and you’ve got trouble.
Seems like all three got exactly what they had coming to them, a quick trip to hell.

Louie is a character He supposedly is the largest landowner in Pa. His office is in a junkyard with the requisite mean dog. He built the Mt. Airy Casino but isn’t allowed to operate it. Think his daughter does.
Once took a motorcycle for a test rde from a cycle shop in Scranton and got arrested going way too face with one of the shop’s shop guys leading the way on another bike. Shop was owned by Louie and when the cops found that out they let us go.
