Hey! I own a timeshare at Massanutten. I knew the deer in the Shenandoah were getting pretty tame (or at least, very used to humans’ presence) but this extreme. A fawn is cute, but by this time next year it will be large enough to be dangerous to the boy at 5 years old, a wild animal with no fear of human people.
Deer can’t be friendly with humans like dogs.
Well, when you have a 4-year-old and you live in the woods. Which means the woods are his playground.
Like me, for instance.
Does your mommy know you are on FR with a lot of strangers? Isn’t 4 a bit young for FR? When and how did you develop your conservatism?
That deer is dead meat if it isn’t already. Bad move.
Oh no! “Smorgasbord” is exactly the term I’ve for our yard’s offerings.
We have a street gang of about a dozen that ingest practically anything green in our neighborhood. I say street gang because they are unafraid to walk right down the middle of the street. And we’re in the city.
I’m not s big fan of venison although I’ll gladly eat it in a SHTF suggestion, I’m sure. I AM a fan of sausage...even ate blood sausage in Spain during a “Running of the Bulls” festival in Pamplona one year. It was great. I’ve also eaten goat, horse and alligator tail...all three were good. So I’m not shy about trying various meats. I also like Chinese food...so I MAY’VE had cat and dog. 😁
"Hi mom! Can we eat him?"
