A four-year-old boy surprised his mother by bringing back a baby deer with him during a holiday.
Stephanie Brown was shocked to find to her son Dominic, four, and a baby deer he had befriended in the nearby woods on the porch during a family holiday to Massanutten resort in Virginia.
The mother managed to take a snap of the unique moment, and shared it on Facebook, where it quickly went viral, ABC 8 News - WRIC reported.
People were impressed by how at ease the fawn looked in the presence of the four-year-old.

Good pic.
That’s not a baby deer...more like a yearling. Kid and deer cute as heck.
The Daily Mail finally printing something worthwhile.
Fish and Game will send in their SWAT.
Lovely photo and almost biblical in spirit, but the boy’s mother should check him over from stem to stern to make sure his large eyed friend didn’t share any ticks with him. Lime’s Disease is always lurking.
Who lets a 4 year old wander in the woods?
We read “The Yearling” around 7th or 8th grade. It was a wonderful “coming-of-age” book that we all could relate to. I remember the rattlesnake-bite story in the book and it still gives me shivers.
Irony — the article calls it a fawn and it’s a yearling. The pic you posted is from “The Yearling” and it’s a fawn.
“Dominic, now go play in the woods for a while. Daddy and I have some, er, ‘catching up’ to do.”
Wait’ll Bambi eats all of mom’s bushes and wintering perennials...and then returns this summer to pillage the family vegetable garden.
Cute my butt...deer are nuisances.
“Nuisance” doesn’t begin to describe it. We had a herd of 26 living in the woods behind us. They love the smorgasbord we provide for them. The city thinned the herd a year ago and we got down to 6 or 7, but they invited all their friends over from the neighboring woods.
Then the wild turkeys arrived.
At least the moose have made themselves visible only a couple times the past four years.
On the bright side, no bears or mountain lions...yet.
A Kitchenaid with stuffing adapter is a good entry level tool that will change your mind. Ill send you my “bockwurst” recipe.
Baby deer found “abandoned” in the woods are not abandoned. The mother is off eating somewhere.
We were warned about this decades ago not to mess with found baby deer.
Get a bow - nice and quiet.
Really cute
Conjures up pre Adamic fall of man....man and perfect creation getting along...
