During her remarks to colleagues at last night’s closed-door GOP House conference meeting, Liz Cheney defended her vote to impeach Trump over the January 6 Capitol riot and also said “we cannot become the party of QAnon,” referring to the deranged conspiracy theory that Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia has promoted in recent years.
“I owe you the truth, I owe my constituents the truth, you owe us the truth, we all owe each other that, and the truth is: We cannot become the party of QAnon, we cannot become the party of Holocaust denial, we cannot become the party of white supremacy,” Cheney said, according to a source in the meeting.

Not a leftist at all. Just a sane person who is a non-neocon conservative. People who wave a confederate flag at protests don’t seem to give a crap about something called optics. And while I can entertain an idea that people who are waving a confederate flag at Trump rallies might not be racists, those flag wavers don’t seem to care about giving the left wing controlled press in this country ammunition to call us all racists.
And for the record I don’t honor Southern heritage, I dont respect it because its an heritage that has espoused racism, slavery and oppression without repentance. We had to fight a civil war to defeat the south, and it is right that they were defeated and slavery ended.

I do not show up at protests where the Confederate battle flag is displayed. Because while the people waving it might not be racists, I sure as hell don’t want my name and image associated with the confederate flag. There is one flag, the American flag and that’s the only country’s banner that I march or protest under.
And we better set aside all of this and come together as Americans because we have bigger battles coming and soon.
