A woman who is preparing to meet h a man she matched with on Tinder has provoked a lively debate about whether height really matters when dating, ater admitting she's nervous about him potentially being shorter than her.
Posting anonymously on Mumsnet, the UK-based woman explained she's 5ft 8in and has always dated taller men, and asked if she's 'incredibly shallow' to worry that a man she's planning a socially-distanced date with might be shorter.

I am shorter than the woman mentioned in this article. It absolutely sucks. For me, I always feel invisible. My experience resulted in shyness and zero self-confidence.
But do not resent people’s preferences. I just curse what date dealt me. Everyone has their traits they are looking for and nothing is wrong with that.
It’s not the height, it’s whether they are manly, masculine, don’t whine about things, treat women well, aren’t on drugs or alcohol, aren’t living with their mother, not cheap, not scared. And sensual, patient, loving in the sack.
I am 5’ 8” and invisible also.
Taller women are much more attractive-at least to me. 3” taller is perfect-especially for those ‘high in the saddle’ guys. Taller women who date taller guys find there’s not as many to pick from. Nobody cares these days about what others may think so to each his own.

So being short now makes you look younger? Never mind the wrinkles and gray hair... It looks like my dad who has lost at least two inches in his elderly years is going to have young 70 year old chicks after him soon.
Especially now with socially distancing, that equipment might need to be very long indeed to get the job done.
Short women can always get on top and do their own ‘work’.
Biology. Millions of years of adaptation. Babies. Security.
Men have their prejudices too.
Except if you don't meet the minimum dating height for men ( MDHFM ) of being above 5'11" you will never even be given a chance to show those esoteric qualities to a women.

Right. Except that women generally openly admit they won’t even consider dating men shorter than them, so if they won’t date them, they never get a chance to see if any of those other qualities are there.
So in all of those cases, it is very much the height.
It’s not a man’s height that counts.
It’s the size of his....wallet.
