Wow, have I missed Free Republic! I've already punted Twitter... twice! Gab is shaping up, but sweet mercy! the crazies are going to tank it. I strolled over here on a whim and find myself in a comfortable space. Clear, clean, easy-going, drama-free.

Yep. Not on MeWe as it is owned by a Democrat, apparently. Twitter was a force... is a force... but I cannot support the Little Eichmanns there with one more minute of my attention. Gab is overtly Christian but they use it poorly and waste it on political grandstanding of, “God is on our side!” which, I have yet to hear the Holy Spirit confirm God’s opinion about a country that is corrupted by abortion, graft, and market theft.

There isn’t much out there anymore. The bad guys banned everybody. I get tired of the Rino’s, trolls, and glowies here, but I just mostly lurk and read now.

I got kicked of twitter for fussing with communists. I got kicked off Gab for fussing with fake Nazis’. I joined FR in the early 90s and came home as well. I came back to FR last year or so. It was like coming back to America.
Well, yes, I’ve always lurked, but the Freeper hardliners will hold that against me. No matter, as I think twenty years of treading the Internet boards has kept me up-to-date on things I may have missed here. There’s no denying that Twitter was a great tool for following the world news, when there used to be real news and not manufactured narratives. Then twitter just became a shouting match.

A LOT of Christian cringe, wrapping the Cross in the American flag. A melánge of misinformation. A lot of QAnon.

Some of the Gab groups are pretty good. I’ve been with them since 2018. I’ve blocked a few people over there, but in general do like the group’s, and really like their CEO.
I really like Gab. Its got some great people on there.
