Is Joe Biden's presidency the reincarnation of Jimmy Carter's?

Give it one year, and Biden's voters will have serious buyer's remorse.

Back in 1976, I voted for President Ford after supporting Governor Reagan in the primaries. It was a close election, but Texas and a few others went blue that year, and Governor Carter was in.

Around 10 A.M. the next day, the election went for Mr. Carter, and I felt a bit depressed. How did this happen? After a few days, I said to my friends that the country would regret this decision. Honestly, it was the same feeling I had when Mr. Biden assumed the presidency.

A day ago, I saw this article by Daniel Gallington, and it makes a lot of sense:

The reason Mr. Biden will fail so soon is that many more millions than voted for him will realize — and quickly — that they made a mistake. In some ways, it will be a similar reaction ... to the election of Jimmy Carter in 1976, when many of his voters quickly realized they had screwed up.

Isn't that the truth?

President Biden's administration will quickly fail for two reasons, or maybe I should say two executive orders:

1. Gas prices will go up because you can't destroy supply without affecting the cost at the pump. It's great to talk about "green energy," but we are still going to put something that comes from fossil fuels in our cars.

2. The border will explode. You can't tell people you are going to reverse President Trump's border policies without giving inspiration to many to walk north and get legalized.

People may realize they made a mistake, but how do we get rid of the communism? We should ask the people of Venezuela how they did it when they had buyer’s remorse over Chavez.

But almost everyone, if they are honest, has to admit that Joe stole the election. The same question remains...how do you get rid of the communists?

National strike. If enough of the population takes a week off and spends nothing, the people can demonstrate who answers to who and show Obiden what unity means.

This is an mostly different country from 1976. The fringe that no one worried about now controls everything - government, institutions, Wall Street, churches, media, sports...

The difference between Trump’s “Let’s roll!” Cheerleading and Biden’s solemn funeral dirge style is stark.

Bwa—no.

The 70’s are the good old days compared to what’s rolling out now.

And no reason to play into the idea that the voters bought Joe (or Kamala).

Agreed. And for all his faults and weaknesses, Carter was basically a decent person. And the folks he appointed were basically decent people.

I remember those years. At no time did I think my personal freedoms were at risk. Well, now I do feel that way.

“Give it one year, and Biden’s voters will have serious buyer’s remorse.”

There’s no way these filth can suffer enough for what they’ve done.

Gas shortages, gas lines, odd/even days to fill up.......55 MPH nation wide.

Carter's 25% luxury tax destroyed the boating industry, causing plants to close.

Here in Michigan, my company had to sell off our wheel and brake division, permanently laying off approx. 800 employees. A number of them moved to Texas where they found jobs........I was lucky to have kept my job and worked there until I retired.

I feel the same way. Democrats were not vicious back then. Today they are mad dog vicious, and proud of it.

"Carter was basically a decent person"

Nope. It's an act. He was a power-hungry charlatan and far-left moonbat who hates Jews and Israel.

You didn’t feel your personal freedoms were at risk. More importantly, we didn’t feel the loss of the whole Republic to Soviet communism and civil war were imminent.

Agreed. You beat me to it.

Jimmah Carter is a petty, spiteful mean little man who has hated America ever since he was diselected in 1981.

He gets even with America which he sees as mostly pro-Israel by sticking it to the Jews.

Jimmah’s unholy longevity is proof that the good die young.

He’s a racist, too. Ran one of the most openly race-baiting campaigns for Governor in 1970 against ex-Gov. Carl Sanders. He accused Sanders of the high crime of shaking hands with Black Basketball players. The media ignored his race-baiting later on in 1976 and ever since.

Well... in 1976 Jimmy Carter WAS fringe. The only reason he won was because the “I will never lie” promise. He got a lot of mileage with that. That the Republicans nominated Gerald Ford rather than Ronald Reagan played right to Carter’s unconscious Media strategy. Ford was carrying a lot of baggage having pardoned Nixon even though it was universally acknowledged the right thing to do for the country.

The first time I ever heard of the Southern Poverty Law Center was in connection to the Carter campaign. We’ve been stuck with that radical organization ever since.
