New administration's punitive decision could lead Israel into bombing Iran's weapons-making facilities.
US President Joe Biden has halted the sale of F-35 stealth jets to the UAE, even though they were promised as part of the Abraham Accords.
The new administration has raised concerns the UAE might use these jets against the rebel Houthis in Yemen. The Houthis have no air force and only rudimentary air defenses. The UAE has a decently-sized air force made up of 77 F-16s and 63 Mirage 2000s.
The UAE operates with Saudi Arabian air assets against the Houthi insurgency in Yemen. Saudi Arabia has 42 F-15s , 74 light attack F-5s and 44 Tornado fighters.

That makes much sense, but why do you suggest Japanese? I thought they were kinda behind the curve with military technology and production. I get Israeli and Korean.

Their Soryu class subs are reputed to be the stealthiest in the world. They aren’t fast but they are not intended to deploy a world away. They manufacture their own planes and jet engines, all of which are world class. I have seen some hardware over the years and it is second to none. And, as one wag put it, Japan can go nuclear over a long weekend.
Back in the Obama presidency he unilaterally decided to remove all nuclear weapons from our subs. Japan protested. When nothing happened they went public, forcing Obama to, at least say, he would put the nukes back. It’s my opinion this scared Japan so much that they probably laid the groundwork for nukes and a delivery system, if not building and testing same. Obama also did nothing when North Korea sank the Chonan. South Korea, in frustration, when public and Obama still did nothing. (Well, he sent a strongly worded diplomatic note.) As a result, America under a Democrat has no deterrent value. Normally, countries that develop weapons go public to use those weapons as a deterrent. In this case, neither South Korea or Japan can do that. So, if China, or North Korea attacks China or North Korea may be in for one hellacious surprise. It was only the promise that Japan and South Korea are under America’s nuclear umbrella that has stopped them from developing and deploying nuclear weapons. When Obama drew that promise into question, it would be imprudent for those countries not to look after their own interests.
Also, Japan has a huge latent production capacity. I expect that as America pulls back Japan will become the local Hegemon.

I left them out because the politics of both are trending in bad directions. France may be the second Muslim nuclear power. That may sound hyperbolic but I’m thinking long term. The French are doing nothing to stop the riots and riots do eventually lead to regime change. There are no French balls big enough to stop the present trend towards being a third world Muslim nuclear armed state.
Germany is a socialist country with an upside down demographic, meaning they must export to survive. Their ability to export is dependent on the American navy keeping the sea lanes open and, eventually, America won’t give a damn. It’s up in the air what Germany will turn into, but given its present direction, it will be bankrupt before it becomes powerful again. They have no significant deployable ships right now and their defense minister said they could not supply the logistics to fight an all out war for even two weeks.
In addition, France and Germany are on the wrong side of the planet for the Asian/Middle Eastern wars that are shaping up. I see them both as being on the wrong side of the politics heeded to fight and win those wars in any case.
After long reflections, Chinese Job Killer Joe, decided that the US manufactures needed the work - therefore, he will be reassigning the sale to Iran, so that the Chinese could get an F-35 sooner, and could be used to help Iran destroy the hated Israel.
