OLYMPIA, Wash. - Say it ain't so, beer lovers: Olympia Beer, a mainstay of bar taps and college parties for decades, is pausing production.
Pabst Brewing Co. made the announcement in an Instagram post Monday. The owner of the iconic local brand said the decicion came afer a decline in the beer's sales.
"Sadly, we have not been able to find a solution to the challenges posed by reduced beer sales and have had to make the difficult deciscion of temporarily pausing production of Olympia Beer," the company said on the beer's Instagram page.

I remember Oly beer, low cost beer, family drank it a lot back in the day
We used to get Corona so cheap in Mexico, if you collected the refund on the bottles you could get a new case for like 68c
Why anyone pays big bucks for Corona is beyond me, and for god sake stop putting fruit in it!!
So many navy talking Olympia...
Most of the navy I knew drank Heineken...
Heilemann’s made some decent beers.
We called it “Dog style” but had names for all of ‘em! More fun that way...
Vietnamese drink Heineken, and you’ll get the best price an freshest in one of their markets
OMG brew 102.. that was the cheapest beer you could buy, had a uncle buy it buy the case at the distributors for family camping trips...
Rainier was always swill.
That was it’s charm. Gets you drunk. Like old English.
My gold was Rheingold. I also liked Genesee Cream Ale.
OMG brew 102.. that was the cheapest beer you could buy,
Nothing wrong with Jenny Cream Ale.
At least for a few minutes following consumption. There is a reason they are called Genny Screamers
Raises hand. I don’t care especially after a few. Beer is beer to me.
Dixie beer; New Orleans. Indescribably horrid.
But somehow it hung around until BLM poisoned everything.
The owner of the brewery (who also owns the Saints) made a big public PR announcement about changing the name cuz ya know...slavery. She told the public to write in suggesting names...
Last I heard of it.
Funny thing; “Dixie” is from French word “dix” for 10. The word was on currency in New Orleans dating back to late 1700s. Over the years the silent x” became Americanized with the “x” pronounced as we do today. Then became a name for the South somehow.
I don’t know that story! 😀
Obviously this was written after the writer had done some sampling (I hope!)
Bundy is the best...I miss that show.
I’m no expert, but I know
what my taste buds like.
I also don’t drink beer
just to get a buzz. It’s
different strokes for
different folks. That’s
why there are 100’s of
different beer labels.
I would guess that during
your beer ‘test’, you
ended up serving more of
one than the other.
If you’re out driving with your bear Hamms is the only beer to drink. Great commercial which someone had posted on FR a while back.

I liked Hamms
