Hawaii man survives lightning strike, then beats COVID-19

They say lightning never strikes the same place twice, but maybe bad luck does.

Aumauinuuese Puni was suddenly struck by lightening while standing on a rooftop in April of 2020. He was on the roof of a building in Waikiki where he worked and doing a Facebook Live about the view of Diamond Head during some rainy weather.

At the start of his livestream, he briefly mentions the possibility of being struck by lightning while standing out in the open. Shortly after, Puni found himself in that exact situation when lightening struck his body causing him to drop his phone.

He said he felt the impacts for at least 15 minutes after and his sneaker were scorched.

Then in January, a family member’s co-worker was exposed to a person who tested positive for COVID-19. The entire family got tested and found that they all had contracted the virus, even Puni. The 51-year-old tested positive on Jan. 9 and within weeks found himself in the hospital battling COVID-19 complications.

After several days, Puni was released from the hospital. He urges everyone to do their part to stay safe and healthy.

He’s especially thankful to his wife Lelia Puni, Blaise Heneralau, his Aunt Elsie, Prior Vision and the Samoan Polynesian community.

I stubbed my toe yesterday.

I had a bout of 'Rona last November (sniffles, no headache, no fever, a little fatigued - but certified by the Health Dept. that I had the virus).

So I "survived" both Corona and the stubbed toe!

About as newsworthy!

Regards,

I think everyone has stubbed their toes, multiple times. Getting struck by lightning, not so much.

And lots of people have "survived" Corona. That's my point!

Aumauinuuese Puni was suddenly struck by lightening

More poor "journalism".

How does one get struck by lightning other than "suddenly"?

The fraudulent, illegal Biden regime will finish off the “survivor.”

Some years back I had a young fellow (mid-20s) working for me. On two consecutive summers he was struck by lightning while golfing and survived. The second time the lightning strike even set his shoes on fire. The following year he shot and killed by a jealous husband. (true story).

yes a stun gun would work. Evidently being struck by high voltage cures Covid. So have someone hitting all people with stun guns right now.

Can’t be any more of a shock than a stolen election.
