Norwegian wants to vaccinate the CREW.
Carnival and other cruise lines are reviewing their options.
I wonder how this will play out? - Tom
Make em eat ludefisk.
If they survive that, COVID won’t bother them.
People need to push back, this is the equivalent of mandatory vaccines. Take it if you wish, but do not force it on others.
It might be The start of Governmental mandatory vaccines.
Right now getting on a vaccinated required cruise ship is optional, but the Govts. could spread it to airplanes ,public transportation, and going from state to state. -Tom
I won’t support businesses that enable the coming vaccine apartheid
Wow. That’s common sense.
Nobody is forcing. just don’t work for this private company. Easy peasy.
Nope, this is defacto forcing. No right to force healthy people to take injectiond.
Are you saying that private businesses can’t make their own requirements? This country is worse off then thought. One side is wacky, the other wackier.
Nobody is forcing.....
For now
What about folks that have already *had* COVID? Why not set up crews and take those as passengers?
There have got to be enough folks that there is a business model that works.
Any private biz that suddenly requires WuFlu but not flu flu shots is gonna be in a world of legal hurt.
Let the litigation commence!
Best solution: Congress passes WuFlu liability protection for every damn biz in the country.
Wanna get the vax? Fine.
Wanna take yer chances? Fine.
It’s interesting that Congress has bent over backwards to protect Big Pharma while throwing biz under the bus.
Whatever keeps me from having to wear that Dmnd mask. Had to get the Pfizer vaccine for work so might as well celebrate with a cruise as soon as one opens.
The problem is you can come down with Covid within a few months of getting over it. -Tom
Screw this stupid bug
Double triple screw the vaccine for this stupid bug
Quadruple screw anybody forcing you to get the stupid vaccine for the stupid bug
I’m not the type that we’ve ever set foot on a cruise ship before anyway ; but you can forget it now!
You may still have to wear a mask on the Cruise ship!
Lets say you get on a smaller cruise ship than normally carries 2,000 passengers plus an 800 member crew = 2,800 people. And everyone onboard is vaccinated.
To be on the safe side they go with 60% capacity. 2,800 x .60 = 1,680 people onboard ,passengers and crew.
They claim a Covid vaccination is over 90% effective.
Lets say 93% effective.
1,680 people onboard all vaccinated times 0.07 = 117 vaccinated people not protected from catching Covid..
Just one or a couple of Covid cases in that 117 group onboard could cripple the cruise when our CDC is notified.
This is what the Cruise lines will be facing so I expect onerous preventions of Covid to continue onboard. -Tom
It’s an experimental injection and nobody knows all the short term risks, let alone long term risks. Technically, people will be unwilling participants in the world’s largest clinical drug trial.
There’s a reason all those drug commercials include the standard list of potential negative outcomes, including death for some.
Just say “NO”!
“The FAA is telling pilots not to fly for 48 hours after receiving Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine”
“...Pilots cannot fly for 48 hours after receiving the injections as the side effects may hinder the safe operation of an aircraft, the FAA says...”
Private business rights stop at my bodily integrity. They also cannot make daily sodomy a condition of employment.
