Do you know if this lie about Calvert was exposed by the President Counsel?
This is "cancel culture" in action. Raise a legitimate defense of your client, based on public statements of elected officials, and you're a racist
10th Question, from @MikeLee et al. to Trump team: Many state constitutions explicitly allowed impeachment for former officers; does U.S. Constitution's neglect of such language means they didn't want to? Van der Veen: Of course. Framers looked at every option.
11th Question, from @SenAlexPadilla for House managers: [Bunch of accusations] (Worth noting that this guy could not run the California DMV, including the Motor Voter program. They promoted him to Senate.)
This was the context of “fight to the death” from Dec 26 tweet pic.twitter.com/XrgyhsXfNy— Jake Tapper (@jaketapper) February 12, 2021

Right. Trump wasn't saying his supporters should do it. He was saying it's what Democrats would do.
.@JoaquinCastrotx reads the "fight to the death" comment, which is not something Trump told his supporters to do, and claims he literally meant his supporters should fight to the death, though the context is clearly rhetorical. #facepalm #ImpeachmentTrial https://t.co/0VzJdCFdhU— Joel Pollak (@joelpollak) February 12, 2021
Van der Veen replies: @JoaquinCastrotx just proved my point: "It's been smoke and mirrors. And, worse, it's been dishonest." Notes Trump told supporters NOT to fight. "He misrepresented a tweet to you, to put forward a narrative that is wrong...You must acquit."
Yes, it was explained by the defense to mean Mt. Calvary and not to bring in the Cavalry forces.
Good!

. @RepRaskin has no answer to this. He looks like he got smacked. Just says it's irrelevant.
12th Question from @HawleyMO to both: If you can disqualify a former president, can the Senate disqualify a sitting president without removal? (Clever.) #ImpeachmentTrial Van der Veen: No. @RepRaskin : No, but these powers have "always been separate."
13th Question, from @ewarren to House managers: Yeah, Democrats objected to Electoral College votes, but was that ever after a riot? @RepRaskin : No. Repeats claims that Trump "assembled a mob." This is all Trump's fault.
LOL at @RepRaskin trying to justify his 2016 objection
14th Question, from @SenKevinCramer to Trump team: Given claims of antisemitism, Has there been a more pro-Israel president than Trump? Van der Veen: No. He pounds @RepRaskin again: "They got caught doctoring the evidence, and this case should be over."
Does anyone know if Raskin, the lost Marx brother, shave his head in the shape of a Yamaha?
:)
15h Question, from @SenSanders to both: What about the "big lie" of a stolen election? @StaceyPlaskett: Trump lost, told his supporters false things to make them angry. Van der Veen: "My judgment's irrelevant." (Chaos in the Senate) It's irrelevant to the #ImpeachmentTrial charge— Joel Pollak (@joelpollak) February 12, 2021
Van der Veen adds that House impeachment managers are doing everything to avoid answering questions about the central question of impeachment, which was "incitement." The Capitol riot was pre-planned, had nothing to do with what Trump said.
16th Question, from @SenRonJohnson to both: Why did Sgt.-at-Arms reject National Guard? Van der Veen: Good question. We didn't have an investigation. "Jiminy Crickets, there is no due process." @StaceyPlaskett : Defense counsel should give exculpatory evidence.
Notably, @StaceyPlaskett 's reply is a complete inversion of the process of justice. The accused is not required to prove innocence (especially of an extraneous charge). Yet another example of House Democrats destroying civil rights in their hatred of Trump.
Finally, a good question! Why did the Congress turned down requests for more National Guard troops and more security?

Scroll down on this post. Interesting.....
In this pic, it looks more like Bidens head——not that that is a bad thing LOL/S
IT IS!!!
17th Question, from @JeffMerkley to House managers: Is Trump innocent of incitement just because he says "be peaceful" in a speech? (The question concedes defeat on the legal definition of "incitement.") @JoaquinCastrotx: When they had already used violence, no. #ImpeachmentTrial— Joel Pollak (@joelpollak) February 12, 2021
. @JoaquinCastrotx is punch drunk. He goes back to the claim that Trump used the word "fight" 20 times, as if we hadn't seen the defense play every single one of those uses, none of which involved encouragement to violence. "Professor" @RepRaskin has to jump in
Raskin just seemed to confirm that they are offering an entirely new standard of "presidential incitement" -- rejecting the application of legal authority and definitions of incitement.— Jonathan Turley (@JonathanTurley) February 12, 2021
Raskin is melting down in real time.— Jason Miller (@JasonMillerinDC) February 12, 2021
18th Question, from @tedcruz for both: House managers created new standard for incitement -- would @KamalaHarris be quilty too? @RepRaskin : He doesn't know the statement (it was played earlier); she'd never promote violence. Van der Veen mocks "Raskin doctrine."
Van der Veen notes that Trump's team played the @KamalaHarris statement. He says she should not be prosecuted for incitement because it is speech protected under the First Amendment. He also notes @RepRaskin admitted they are establishing a new standard because Orange Man Bad.
Granny you have been amazing today. Thank you.

Last night, I was honored when Sidney Powell called me and asked me to serve as lead counsel for her in defending the frivolous defamation lawsuit filed against her by Dominion.
I quickly accepted. Get ready to rumble, Dominion. You made a mistake suing Sidney. You are going to pay a heavy price.
Sidney and I will not be intimidated. We will not go quietly in the night.
Hey Dominion, I will see you and your employees and officers soon as truth is pursued and established. I will see you across the table where you will be subjected to a thorough and sifting cross-examination under oath. I know how to deal with legal bullies like you.
Check my record.
Good! Thanks
19th Question, from @PattyMurray to House managers: Why is Trump's tweet on the night of January 6 relevant to "Trump's guilt"? @JoaquinCastrotx: Trump would not have said "remember this day forever" if he didn't want violence. (Mind-reading.) #ImpeachmentTrial— Joel Pollak (@joelpollak) February 12, 2021
How many Democrats have said we should remember January 6 forever, like 9/11? Did they want the violence?
20th Question, from @SenBillCassidy for both: Given @SenTuberville call, was Trump tolerant of threat to Pence? Van der Veen: No, and @SenMikeLee disputed. We don't know facts. Says he's sure Trump was concerned. @RepRaskin : Trump has sole possession of evidence
.@RepRaskin says that Trump's refusal to testify supports adverse inference against him, because it's not a criminal case. @JonathanTurley has pointed out that this is really an awful argument, especially for a former law professor to make https://t.co/MUCN6KCCjC https://t.co/JYHno2VzHk— Joel Pollak (@joelpollak) February 12, 2021
Your welcome but Joel Pollak is doing most of the work. LOL
I can’t wait for this trial!
Swalwell is such a putz.
He knows the difference between Calvary and cavalry or does he?
They kept little Eric in the closet today, a no show at the Clown Show today.
Thanks for all your posts. I tried watching some of the Q&A, but didn’t make it long.
This is good news.
