But, but, but, but, but..... Covid 19?
Notice there was no mention of Covid 19 from the MSM.
Gestapo. Secret Police. Nazis. Storm Troopers.
Oh wait.
Yeah and 6 foot separation also.
Not too many of them are wearing masks. Either.
Some of us have been calling this virus fake for months.
It’s usefulness has almost worn off.
The authoritarians in NY and Chicago want to reopen businesses. Trump is leaving office. Mission accomplished.
The virus is going to end real soon, the CDC and WHO both quietly rescinded their recommendations against HCQ and Ivermectin, but they Murdered a couple Hundred Thousand needlessly, destroyed Millions of Businesses and Lives, Burned countless cities and killed countless innocent people, just to get rid of Trump.
Some of us have been calling this virus fake for months.
If the MSM isn't calling these folks out it doesn't mean the virus is fake. It means the MSM gives a free pass to leftists, which we already knew.
Over 400,000 Americans have died from this "fake" virus. One of my brother's coworkers got it and spent 2 weeks in the hospital. He felt run down for 2 months. Never heard of the flu doing that to a reasonably young guy with no pre-existing conditions.

Oh the humanity. Look at all the bodies
When the flu turns to pneumonia, those are the exact symptoms.
The flu kills children with no preexisting conditions, too.
It isn’t just the flu, bro. That said, it is clear that we have overreacted to the virus. If we just let it rip through our population like we did in the past, we would had developed herd immunity 6 months ago.

Not talking about children, though. I'm talking about healthy adults in the prime of their lives.
If we just let it rip through our population like we did in the past, we would had developed herd immunity 6 months ago.
The problem with that approach is that 80-90% of the population needs to get the virus for herd immunity to kick in. Let's say 85% of America gets the virus; that's 280,500,000 people. Let's also say that only 1% of those people need ICU beds; that's 2,805,000 folks who need an ICU bed just because of COVID (not counting heart attacks or other conditions requiring ICU). There are only 85,247 ICU beds in the nation. While not all of those 2,805,000 people will need an ICU bed at the exact same moment, odds are still good hospitals will be overwhelmed and many non-COVID patients will fail to get essential care on time, to say nothing of the COVID patients who won't make it despite the hospital's best efforts.
Why should we run out and get COVID when we can still get herd immunity without the risks, either to the individual patient or to the health care system, with the new vaccine?
And save some money on Social Security.
Say 100k people who died were on Soc Sec, and they received 1k a month...that would be $1,200,000,000 saved in one year.
Ten percent to the big guy!
I acquired immunity the fun way..by going on a cruise ending on Feb 29th 2020. Had minor dry cough after the cruise, and then resumed my normal life in Florida, with nary a sniffle.
“He felt run down for 2 months. Never heard of the flu doing that to a reasonably young guy with no pre-existing conditions.”
I’ve had the flu develop into pneumonia three times before I hit my 50th birthday. Hospitalised twice. Took months to recover every time.
It was just the flu that developed into pneumonia each time.
On average 34,000 people die in the us each year from the flu. The number is actually higher because in many states influenza is not a reportable disease/illness.
Also notice no one has said a word about the flu this year.
I expect most of the flu and pneumonia cases were reported as Rona because the hospitals got extra money for Rona cases.
Once Bidet and his Ho are in office watch the Rona fade from the news.
A much smarter approach would have been to restrict old people with comorbidities, and let the younger healthy folks not be shut down. Mortality rate for the latter group is very low, not enough to overwhelm ICU’s inhospitals.
Instead the gov’t in many states enforced shutting off all people regardless of health or age, and killed millions of small businesses.
If a health nut like me can visit stores 75 times and gym 200 days, and sit down restaurants 50 times (Florida restaurants are open) at age 80 and not even suffer a sniffle, the shutdowns were purely political. I stay healthy with gym visit 6 out of 7 days every week. My lungs are in great shape.
Influenza kills an average of 36,000 per year. COVID-19 killed ~400,000 in 9 months.
Were shutdowns/lockdowns appropriate countermeasures? No. Neither was forcing nursing homes to accept known-infected patients. But comparing this to seasonal flu is ridiculous.
