I am looking at it this way. Our daughters live in Seattle. We have not seen them in a year. It is a long flight from Florida. I feel the risk is far greater on a 4-5 hour flight of catching a virus than on a large modern ship such as the ship Oasis of the Seas (RCCL).There was actually a garden on that ship with mature trees and bushes. Birds were living there permanently. The walk from our cabin to dining room and back was 1/2 mile walk. The hot tub for adults only could accommodate 80-90 people along the rim. Never felt the slightest congested on that ship. So much fresh air spaces and no crowds in spite of 6000 passengers on ship.
We know you might be onboard, so let's hope it goes. -Tom
We got one planned for June!!!
I would suggest any cruiser who has a specialty prescription to take extra pills of that unique prescription with you, as the pills may not be available on the ship or in the port.
You could be onboard for an extra 2 weeks of quarantine.
In my case it is ESBRIET.
Never heard of it? Thats what you can face with some pharmacies. So take extra prescriptions along that you can't wait for a few days or weeks to get. -Tom
My wife wants to go on vacation (via plane) to Hawaii. I told her to include me out because no way will I wear a mask on a plane for the looooong flight to Hawaii and back. Also I don’t like the idea of suffering on the flight to Hawaii and then have to endure the restrictions while on “vacation” there.
I would say that about anything anything I or anyone I know doesn't care about!!!Disneyland, snake hunting, the Democrat party!!!
I would think they would supply the pills if need be...they can fly them to the ship by helicopter or transport them by tender ...they take heart attacks etc off that way...
they would have to get extra food supplies etc anyway...
That would work for almost all prescription pills. I am referring to much less common pills that many insurance companies spend a lot of money on, and are always looking for a way to avoid paying for the supply.
If your prescription has not run out, and you have to get those pills away from home, you may not have it filled. -Tom
I told my wife that I would take her on a cruise, if they let me drive!
This year does not look promising.
You are right ,predicting the future now is impossible, because of the historic changes in our country and around the world. Not to mention the changes in peoples behavior and the deplorables developing a more realistic appraisal of life and other peoples selfish motives. -Tom
On Saturday I packed up my cruise wear (all those beads and sequins!) and took it to the Salvation Army. Sadly, the fauxdemic they used to take out Trump took joy out of almost everything.
