I think people here know that I’m a doctor.
I just completed the second shot of the two dose Pfizer vaccine. I felt virtually nothing after the first shot and nothing after the second shot given about 15 hours ago.
The injection consists of only 0.3 ml. Contrast that with the flu vaccine that is 0.5 ml.
The first shot helps your body recognize the virus, and the second revs up your immune system.
As you know, 99% of those infected with the virus recover fully. On the other hand there is a small percentage that recover but not fully. We call these people “long haulers.”
You might want to read up about them as many are formally very healthy even athletic.
Don’t be afraid of this shot. I recommend that you take it when it becomes available.

Considering the inconsistency of the information coming from government authorities on this whole matter, why does the hysteria surprise you?
I have very little faith in anything government has to say. Mask effectiveness being a case in point.

Why in the world would you get a vaccine for a common cold variant that has over 99% survival rate and most people have no clue they have it with minor symptoms of a cold or flu?
As a doctor you should know there are two viruses that cause colds. Rhino and corona viruses. So what was the hubbub all about and why vaccine? First was to get Orange Man Bad and the second was to scam people out of their money as the government is paying for this scam which translates to taxpayer pocketbooks. Remind me not to see you if I have a medical condition.

Same here. Our entire family got it Christmas Eve when my mom and sister showed up sick. When I mention it to people they look at me wishing they already had it and on the other side of the precipice. Also, my daughter had the virus last March and my son in November...both were there Christmas Eve and they were the only ones that never got sick. Immunity is real and God’s “vaccine” is the best!
I’ve had both Pfizer vaccines with the second dose 7 days ago. It definitely makes my covid icu and covid ward work a little better. I also had no significant side effects. I recommend it but to each their own.
Walk to rough an ICU and see what this “cold” does to some people and you might feel differently. But I bow to your vast medical knowledge.....
No, no, no. The mark of the beast is from the smallpox vaccine, a whole generation has those marks on their upper arm.
But wait, maybe the mark isn’t from vaccines. In the late ‘70s the bank I worked at sent out debit cards to all customers for ATMs we installed. Those were the mark of the beast we were told!

There have been reports that several vaccine recipients have turned into frogs.
I’m concerned about the approach. Modifying mRNA? How experienced are they with that? It just seems like another one of those things that seems like they figured it out, until they find out some terrible consequence.

It’s a bit insulting to imply that FReepers who don’t want THIS particular vaccine are “anti vaccine”. I don’t want this one, but do get other vaccines, including annual flu shots. Please don’t lump all of us together. As far as the WuFlu shot is concerned, I’ll stand back and observe for a while.
Congrats. It’s a lot easier walking into a covid ward knowing that not only am I protected but that I won’t be bringing it home to my family

Everyone will need to continue taking precautions like masking and physical distancing until the spread has stopped.
