Big Tech’s moves to muscle President Donald Trump off social media have been heralded by some as victory. But a corporate-run state with politicians serving as mere figureheads amounts to the very fascism they claim to oppose.
The smug, palpable air of "mission accomplished" emanating from Facebook, Twitter and Google in the weeks after the media called November’s election for Democrat Joe Biden has been hard to ignore. Thanks to an iron grip on the political narrative and the heavy-handed suppression of any influential dissenting voices, these insanely wealthy companies and their partners in the media establishment have managed to successfully upend what was left of the US’ democratic process.
In short, they have reason to celebrate, having pulled off the first successful national-level coup-by-media in US history. And better yet — for them at least — having helped the "right" guy win, they won’t have to answer to any bogus charges of Russian collusion this time around. Indeed, no less than the Department of Homeland Security came forward to declare the vote the most secure in US history — a baffling claim at best, given the same officials have spent months insisting foreign infiltration supposedly had democracy hanging by a thread.
The epic pearl-clutching that followed Wednesday’s march on the Capitol is almost guaranteed to result in further restrictions on online speech — and as many observers noted, that’s just how Big Tech and Big Brother want it. No explanations have been forthcoming as to why the Capitol was largely unguarded during the protests, even though Trump had for weeks been calling on his followers to stage “wild” demonstrations on that day. Nor was it clear why Mayor Muriel Bowser waited so long before sending in police and the military to rein in the chaos.

The Constitution is dead. The. Republic is dead.
The Democrat Party is well positioned to become its own version of the Chinese Communist Party.

“...The Democrat Party is well positioned to become its own version of the Chinese Communist Party....”
The Democrat Party IS the Chinese Communist Party....fixed it.
This really is distressing.
The ultimate example and practical application of Fascism is happening before our eyes - we are witnessing an unprecedented Fascist collaboration between Big Tech & the Left.

Goebbells is dancing in his grave.
They are the government

That's about when Political Science really became an advanced "Science", and provided the elites the tools and techniques to improve and perfect their influence and power.
One result is that the "Two Party System" has effectively been corrupted to the core, by dramatic dilution of values in both the GOP (Republican) and Democrat parties, In actuality BOTH parties have been effectively destroyed in favor of one world government control at the expense of our liberties.
One of the greatest generals (and Presidents) of all time understood this well, and made this prophecy:

(you can download a transcript PDF of the speech here)
Most people alive today have never seen or heard that prophecy. We are about to witness the magnificent fulfillment of that prophecy exactly 60 years after it was made.
I'm taking my inspiration from the eloquent warning from Dwight Eisenhower in 1961 that has now actually happened exactly as he predicted.
The repeated theme in other threads seems to be focused on the need to "recover" (repair, fix, purge, or whatever) the Republican party. I strongly disagree. Both the Republican and Democrat parties are hopelessly corrupted by the elites (deep state) and have been working in concert for about 70 years to increase the power and control of the government over our liberties.
The idea of a new party to compete in the current political system has been (to now) almost universally rejected, using the effort (actually capturing 19% of all votes in 1992) by Ross Perot as an example.
Some have described Perot's policies as an early version of those espoused by Donald Trump. I note that those policies gained 19% of the vote in 1992, (Perot) and (about half or more, depending on how you count: over 70 million for Trump) in 2020.
Trump's popularity has NOT declined yet, in spite of the immense level of attacks by the left and the left leaning media.
It's high time right now to get to work on setting up this new party, with Trump as the nominal leader, in time to start the corrections required by the next election.
a third party can’t win until we have runoff elections
Ike was a great man and a prophet. He understood that the welding together of business and government necessary to win the war posed a great threat to our freedom. Now corporations doing business with the government and government itself are one and same. Where is the dividing line? Multi $ billion/multi year contracts with big tech have made them more powerful than the government itself.
Corporate fascist tyranny is here. Dark times ahead indeed.
??? !!! WOW! You're admitting defeat even before you have had a chance to consider the idea!
I wonder if you have a better suggestion?
Or I wonder if (more likely) you may be in favor of a fascist/socialist government, which ours is rapidly becoming?

This isn’t big tech, this is big government.
Not exactly.
This is the powerful elites who have already amassed an enormous percentage of the world's wealth, and are exercising political science processes to expand their power, control, and wealth even more.
Back in the day, the gov’t broke up the Bell system for being too big for its britches. Lots of Baby Bells resulted.
Same needs to happen for amazon, facebook, twitter and a couple other.
