Have you left the GOP?
Me

Posted on 01/08/2021 1:58:03 PM PST by Lod881019

Just a general question have you left or are leaving the GOP? Cause I was talking to a few people today who seem to have had it with the Party and just going for the candidate they like and won’t be volunteering or donating to the party for a very long time

Waiting to hear from President Trump first on direction he’s taking

No. There’s no place to go. Yet. And I’ll be damned before I would let my one measly vote help Democrats.

In primaries in Indiana, you ask for one party’s ballot. I will be voting in the Republican primary. When I have donated or volunteered, I have done so for a candidate, not the party.

There is no one in the Democrat Party who will be on our side. Third parties, at this point, are spoilers or flyspecks. There are at least some Republican officials, or potential officials, who are with us and can be supported. Get involved. Support primary challenges to deadwood candidates. Put fire to the feet of Republican officeholders constantly so they know we are there and watching and may hold their futures in our hands. Most politicians, above all else, want to keep their jobs.

Having said that, if there is ever a new party alternative that is organized and can win, I would consider it.

Agree. It’s not really about “leaving” the GOP or not. What matters if you vote for Republicans on your ballot. I will make an exception for DeSantis but he will be my last GOP vote ever.

I find myself not caring if Republicans win or not now. It was quite refreshing not having to worry about the GA runoff since I expected the steal to go through. In the future I will feel the same. The GOP is about to find out what it’s like to be a party without base voters. Sure there will be a few political hobbyists hanging around the GOP but the bulk of the active GOP base will be gone.

Yes, I’ll stick with those who stuck with Trump through thick and thin. There may not be many, but they deserve support. If we need to create a new party, I’m up for that too.

I registered as an independent when I moved and it does three things:
1. Any primary for a specific party, I can’t participate- understandable
2. I get more mailings from both of the Uniparty branches- ugh
3. I don’t get any politicians or campaign volunteers knocking on the door.. a plus

Not until 2022 so I can vote in the primary to get rid of Tom McClintock, the GOP’s newest RINO from California.

True-NOT voting R will just divide our vote, BUT, if we can get a new Tea Party like movement started with enough members, we can exert a great deal of pull on the R’s that remain.

“Unless you cancel pay TV and switch to antenna, they’re getting your money whether you watch them or not.

Just saying to anyone who might want to cut the cord.”

Already did it .
No amazon
No Walmart
No Target
No stores that are pushing the leftist agenda

It’s much nicer on the pocketbook too

Sorry, there is no one in the GOP on our side either. The GOP Senate did nothing for two months and then certified the rigged election 93-7. Even those you may think are on our side did not speak up until too late and offered a CYA measure that wasn’t going to change anything.

A Tea Party without an established leader cannot work.

Trump is the only person who can galvanize millions. But I think it’s only effective if it stays in the GOP.

Granted, this isn’t going to happen overnight. The Senate, will not change for years. We can impact the House and Local Races, and that’s where we establish the beachhead.

These idiots sold us out and opened us up to election fraud forever .

I have the feeling that you are not by yourself!:

I will never support the GOP in my life ever again.

I assume that a new political party will come about very soon. If not, I’ll just never vote again....what’s the point if the elections are rigged?

Here’s the other problem, the GOP are part of the rigged, they somehow betrayed the country and have made a deal with the Dems. Defunding them means nothing, it’s all just fake.

The only hope are the very conservative states. Just need one to secede. If so, it’d be the fastest growing population in the World as people flee this communist invasion.

I left in 95. I believe the TEA Party was about 15 years too late, and, sadly, we’ve gained no ground. A little more than four years ago, Hillary was presumed to be on her way to the Oval Office. In two weeks, Biden waltzes in, and they won’t miss a beat. They’ve played President Trump against their base, and gained strength through anger. To think that the Republicans can go toe to toe with them is folly.

I think they only understand the message of getting kicked out of office. Do that.
