Much of the world may be in store for particularly intense winter weather in the coming weeks, according to a study just released by a team in the United Kingdom. Researchers report a major meteorological event is occurring high in the sky above the North Pole.
This sudden stratospheric warming (SSW) event is estimated to occur in early January 2021. What exactly does that mean? The Earth’s stratosphere is a layer of the atmosphere located around six to 30 miles above the ground. Scientists consider an SSW event to be among the most extreme atmospheric phenomena. It usually leads to an atmospheric temperature increase of roughly 122 degrees Fahrenheit within just a few days!

Have fun with this. Numerous quotable hilarities throughout, including a whopper in the excerpt.

Were we supposed to pay a tax to avoid this?

Yawn. I only get excited by super sudden stratospheric warming (SSSW).

Just teeing up the next “pandemic” ... the next “good reason” for suspension of the Constitution and naked tyranny ... and many American women and former American “men” will go right along with it.

Some of them say it’s going to be bitter cold. Others, hotter. So in the end one of them is right, and that one can now claim “See, I was right.”

Oh, no! The polar vortex is splitting into two. Joe and the Ho won’t be able to have a public inauguration now.

Here we go again. Warm causes cold. At least in winter. Then it causes hot in summer. And it’s all a disaster.
My most intense winters?
‘93-4 ICE and freezing
‘09-10 lots of snow, record-breaking levels several times

Toss these back at them to see the apoplectic “HOW DARE YOU!” response:
1. Define the “correct” temperature range for the planet.
2. Define the “correct” humidity range for the planet.
3. Define the “correct” mean sea level for the planet.
4. Define the “correct” amount of precipitation for the planet.
5. Define the “correct” makeup of the atmosphere.
6. Define the “correct” amount of sea ice at the N/S poles.
7. Define/explain past glaciation and subsequent warming without any input from humans.

I’m a little confused here.
We were taught that hot air always rises not lowers.
So how can this happen?
I actually believe that they don’t really know.
And why didn’t they mention anything about last years weather?
🤔
