CAVA, a restaurant chain based in the DC suburb of Rockville, Maryland, is so committed to “diversity” that they’ve openly boasted about their significant reduction of white employees from 2019.
“Your continued support has helped us make strides to better our organization and the communities we serve. In such a challenging year, we couldn’t have achieved any of it without you. We look forward to continuing this work and welcoming you to our table in 2021,” the chain tweeted along with four infographics detailing their efforts to feed the poor, open new locations, and spread the false gospel of “social justice.”
One of the infographics reads: “Diversity matters–in the workforce and beyond. We’ve made strides to make CAVA a diverse, inclusive workplace and remain committed to expanding the following…” The graph then shows that:
- 45 percent of all their team members in 2020 were Hispanic, no change from 2019;
- 14 percent were black, up from four percent in 2019;
- Eight percent Pacific Islander, up from two percent;
- Three percent Asian, up from one percent;
- 21 percent white, down from 37 percent;
That represents a 43 percent reduction in the number of white employees in just one calendar year. Meanwhile Asian team members tripled, black team members more than tripled, and Pacific Islander team members quadrupled.
Another graphic reads: “We stand for social justice and remain committed to action. There’s still much more to be done.” CAVA then states they donated $50,000 to the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, another $50,000 to the Equal Justice Initiative, became a founding member for “The Initiative for Black & Blue Partnership,” and entered a recruiting partnership with Howard University, a historically black university founded in 1867.
Wikipedia describes CAVA as a “fast-casual” chain serving “customizable Mediterranean bowls, salads and pitas.” If you’re a white individual looking for employment, don’t try your luck with them. They’re not looking to hire people of your kind. In fact, they’re looking to get rid of more of them.
When you see the word “diversity,” know that it means “fewer white people.” It always does

Numbers can be misleading. Did they fire the white employees or just not hire white employees when other white employees quit? Did they change demographics as they opened new restaurants?
Hopefully white customers will also vanish.
But the self loathing White Snowflakes will love it.

If they are committed to diversity they need to reduce the number of Hispanic employees and replace them with trans gender employees. Then the white employees can come back IF they claim they are trans gender.
Are there enough woke customers to sustain this?
Your focus on group identity is the problem. It’s no more valid to blame ‘whites’ than it is to blame redheads. America traditionally recognizes the rights and attributes of individuals and their equality before the law, it’s what made us a world power. If we continue using racial group membership instead of individual performance to assume virtue or vice, we eventually lose everything.

I favor a meritocracy, which makes the left cringe like Dracula in daylight.
‘Old’ tale of RFK while working for JFK went to a plant in Georgia or Alabama (doesn’t really matter) and he ‘demanded’ that businesses hire 15 or 20 % Blacks.
The Pres of the Co said ‘no problem’, went to his office and told his Secretary to get the employee roster and start with the As and FIRE every Black until they got DOWN TO 15 (whatever) %.

Reducing white customers by the same amount would also contribute to diversity.
It's a big club and we are all in it.
Amateurs. They need to be called out for not reducing their number of white employees by 100% as well as their suppliers and customers by 100% as well. /sarc

They absolutely must raise their company minimum wage to $70,000 a year (except for whites who will be locked in at $ 8.25 hr for 25 hours per week w/ no overtime, holiday or vacation pay).
