While I believe in the presumption of innocence and a vigorous defense, witches so called and many probably actually were, were generally abortionists and murderous women.
No doubt that with the presumption of guilt innocent women were killed as witches as well. But they weren’t all a bunch of innocent schoolgirls.

Over hundreds of years, thousands of women were accused of
sorcery, consorting with the devil, shape-shifting, causing illness, and worse. Some of the accused were innocent of the crimes attributed to them, yet others, of course, were not.
I'd venture to guess that none of them were guilty of those three.
I've read about this evil woman before. Whenever I see someone preaching "repent now, the end is coming, give me money" I suspect a snake pit of lies hidden beneath.
