A haunting tune that I have enjoyed since it’s release.

Sad, I loved Gerry and the Pacemakers back in the ‘60s when they were part of the British Invasion.

We don’t care what your name is boy... I always liked they way he said "turn" in the next line. "We'll never turn you away," sounded kinda like "tairn."

Years ago we went to Liverpool on a Beatles "safari". While there I couldn't get Ferry Cross The Mersey out of my mind.In fact while walking at the mall today I listened to "Ferry" through my headphones.
One of the greatest of all the great stuff from "The British Invasion".

I’ll bet that was a very cool trip! And Ferry Cross The Mersey will super-easily get stuck in our heads!

And Chad Stuart of Chad and Jeremy died a few weeks ago.

They are all so young in my minds eye.

Yup,it was amazing. Not only did we see Abbey Road Studios (and did the zebra crosswalk thing),we saw Strawberry Fields (a real place),we saw the Cavern Club, and where the bus shelter was where they had fish and finger pies, and the place where the barber shaved another customer, etc.
But we never made it to Blackburn,Lancashire.

Sort of makes you pause and think “Gee, I could be next.” But then you get over it and think “No, I’m immortal...that’ll never happen to me!”
