When newly elected senators and congressmen go to Washington before the opening of the new session, they attend a multi day party retreat. I believe this is where they learn the rules of the swamp. Most of the new legislators fall into line willingly.

Parler CEO John Matze said he’s “confident” that the social media platform will be back online by the end of January.
“I’m confident that by the end of the month, we’ll be back up,” Matze told Fox News, days after the Twitter alternative registered its domain with host sharing website Epik, following Amazon Web Services’s decision to stop providing cloud services to Parler, causing the website to go offline.
“Every day it changes wildly, but I feel confident now,” he said. “We’re making significant progress. When you go into Parler.com, it doesn’t go into the void now, it hits a server, and it returns just one piece of information.”

The Los Angeles Times ran a headline Sunday that is sure to grab the attention of Trump supporters everywhere: “Make America California Again? That’s Biden’s plan.”
The paper goes into detail on how the Golden State is emerging as “the de facto policy think tank” for the Biden team and said, “there is no place the incoming administration is leaning on more heavily for inspiration in setting a progressive policy agenda.”

Mayor Bowser established a curfew of 6 PM on January 6. Maybe she has just extended it.
I remember those 11 PM curfews back in the summer in DC. It did not appear that they were enforced very much, if at all. Anyone who was on the streets anywhere in DC on January 6 after 6 PM was definitely subject to arrest. I’m not even sure how everyone was supposed to know there was a curfew since cell phone coverage was so weak on the mall and, for some unknown reason, the charge on cell phones was depleted unusually fast.
