No One Is Celebrating This New Year
12/31/2020 | Wuli

It seems from everything, whether in the media or in society that not only all the lock downs and media induced Covid panic/fear, but the election as well as not just sucked all the celebration out of everyone, but has sucked the desire to celebrate as well.

So, while all the society is NOT celebrating, if the election had not been stolen by fraud at least one half of the society would be celebrating.

You are a miserable sort, but I think I’m going to pray for you. You don’t have to be rude to get attention here. I don’t post much, but read a lot. Very nice people. Maybe something to think about. BTW, Happy New Years, and I hope yours is very nice.

That sounds fun! I hope most of us have some kind of human contact and a good time tonight. A lot of us are seeing the reality of this crap and it is not a happy realization.

2021 will be as bad as 2020.
Maybe worse.

I'm afraid you are correct. I do not expect any one area of my life to improve this year, and it is quite possible that the usurpers Biden/Harris will make several things worse for me, potentially far worse.

I take some small, cynical comfort in the fact that Biden will have a far worse year than me. He may yet be denied the election that was so profoundly rigged for him. Even if he manages to assume office, by this time next year he will have fallen from grace and be out of office. Heck, he may be in the ground. But he will lose far more than me in 21.

Thankfully for my precious boxer.   He's been a good boy so far though.   He is snoozing on his bed a few feet to my left behind me.   He is fast approaching 13 years old, and that's over ninety in dog years.

Happy new year. I’ll be doing the same except there are no street lights in my town...

Picasso made bad art. I don’t care what anyone says. I know art, and I know when it’s bad. There was a LOT of bad art in the 20th Century.

Reminds me of Yogi Berra's famous saying:
Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded.

On the news they showed an empty Times Square. It is so wrong!
By now it should be filled with people having a grand ol time.
If the ball falls and there’s nobody there, did it actually fall?
Then cuomo passed another insane law with the vaccines like he did with the ventilator. Some idiot (fauci?) stressed to only spend time with immediate family...
I’m just waiting for them to declare that making phone calls will spread the virus through the wires, wirelessly, thus they will ban making phone calls.
Watched a medley of photos with people wearing their face diapers. This is unhuman. It’s insane.
Anyone getting depressed reading this?
What’s the big deal about a brand new year if we are all prisoners?
I forgot what are the ingredients to the Nixon salad. Is it called a salad?
It’s very lonely here.

Back in the 80s one NYE on Guam we were passed by a 70s hunka Ford LTD doin about 40mph SIDEWAYS!

Nowadays, easy dinner and music with some hellos around the circle. Its rainy tonight, with fog but its pretty mild outside.

Card games, Yahtzee, then the pyro’s start up the fireworks. The thing of it is is that we didn’t see ANY fireworks stands set up this year. So I’m wondering if that’s a bust too?

Same here.

Plus it’s raining here and makes people even more dangerous.

I celebrate that no one in my family, who have had three big get-togethers this year, have gotten covid-19, but telling people that isn’t nice, is encouraging unpatriotic behavior, is showing disrespect for our leaders, and demonstrates that we are idiots, doesn’t it?

I don’t think I’ve ever gone out on New Year’s Eve. I just always saw it as a sort of contemplative time.

But I’m sorry for those who traditionally do go out and celebrate, and can’t this year. Getting together with others to be convivial is important to mental - and physical! - health for many.
