ESPN NFL contributor Booger McFarland was accused of racism this past week after a comment he made about black football players. Specifically, McFarland suggested that some black players were more concerned with building a brand for themselves than actually working on being good at their craft.

They hired a guy named “Booger” in the first place?
The Ball brothers, and their svengali dad. Ben Simmons. 1000 players who don’t put in the work to get better, but only want to join a team that they think, on paper., will win a championship. Colin Kaepernick is the best example. A guy who sabotaged his own tryout last year so that he can keep getting endorsement deals out of playing the victim.
Colin Kaepernick’s worst nightmare is that some team will ask him to play.
I have no idea. I don’t follow football, and I didn’t say it.
Booger was on the money. Just look at the Dallas Cowboys. Starting with the owner, it's all about the brand...America's Team.
Cowboys have been nothing but a mediocre franchise for 25 years, yet they profit in the hundreds of millions every year.
America's Team...hardly. Jerry Jones has been selling fool's gold for decades.
Jaylon Smith of the Dallas Cowboys.
Welcome to Cancel Culture there, booger.
“ The truth set him free.............”

I watched the discussion between Booger and the others on the panel. I thought Booger was speaking truth. Actually, his point was that the NFL owners were being irresponsible paying these young black athletes millions with no guidance about managing their new found wealth or how to responsibly conduct themselves. I thought he made good points.
Sure, Right next to Jason Whitlock, the *other* Black sports commentator who willingly tells his audience that many black athletes are selfish and stupid.
(Declared the "White Cloud Facial Tissue" racists at ESPN.) |
His name is Anthony McFarland; from Louisiana & played at LSU. All-American. 1st round draft pick in 1999 to Tampa. Won super bowls with Tampa & Indy.
Said he was very rambunctious & silly as a boy & family had several nicknames for him. Said “booger” just stuck with him. At some point he just went with it.
Started out on SEC network. Now MNF also.
His comments were all over local/state media. Funny nobody here black or white said a word about him being racist.
But then again LA is not a bastion of progressive filth like ESPN.
I've given up trying to figure out the cancel culture. ESPN has fired so many white people for un-PC comments they felt they needed to cancel a black guy.
ESPN == Absurdity with a touch of Insanity...
Any man (an adult) who calls himself “Booger” is questionable.
But I digress......
He must be a Trump supporter. And believe in God.
Proving yet again liberals are the least tolerant most closed minded of all!
That being said, ESPN hires these individuals for their opinions. I guess some opinions are more equal than others...
