A sheriff’s deputy in Virginia has been fired after authorities said that “disturbing comments” were posted by his account on a conservative social media website.
The Washington Post reports that the Prince William County sheriff’s office announced the firing on Saturday.
The former deputy said that he didn’t make the comments and that his account was hacked.

I keep two Facebook accounts. Both of them do not have my occupation listed. The first one is to keep in touch with my family. The other one does not have my friends or family on my friend’s list. It exists solely so I can comment honestly, without putting myself at risk of a vengeful liberal.
I really don’t see anything wrong with his comments, although I wouldn’t be posting any comments if I were a policeman.
Aren’t you clever?
Considering what I see other people post from their primary account, with all their personal information, it is enough that I’m more clever than they.
On Facebook. Really? Are you joking?
More to the point, are you always using a trusted VPN IP-anonymizer EVERY time you connect to any of your Facebook accounts? Because if not, you are delusional about your alleged anonymity on Facebook.
Their business is to find out everything about you, and connect it to everything else you might be connected to.
So if you post to your named accounts, and post to your unnamed account, from the same computer, and/or while at the same IP, you're already hosed.
We will have to see what is the truth in this case.
However, Prince William County is no longer a conservative, relatively safe county now that the Dems largely control it and an influx of criminal elements have moved in (expanding from Fairfax, Loudon, and Faucqier counties.

At least so-called journalist, Joy Reid will be on this guy’s side. I recall her complaining her Twitter account was hacked after somebody discovered mean tweets about homos, I think. She didn’t get fired though. I wonder if she’ll interview the guy and implore his supervisor to reconsider....
Stupid thing to say, but people say that kind of crap every day. But posting it online, as a public employee and a LEO was just stupid. There are plenty of other municipalities that will hire him. I know cops that have been fired for worse and hired by another force. I know one who was fired three times and found a 4th PD to hire him.
Anybody who supports a communist-supporting enterprise like Facebook by posting there deserves all the pain, humiliation, and inconvenience they get...
Isn’t the first amendment supposed to protect you from government punishment for exercising your right to free speech? Facebook is a private company but the last time I checked the sheriff’s department was a government agency. How can they get away with firing him?
Try saying anything negative about a protected class while working in a private business. The government will come after you and/or the business if you are not fired.
The canceling of patriots continues.
But the Sheriff's Department is not a private business. It's run by the government.
For folks who want to know why he was fired.
I deleted ALL of my social media two years ago and it has been glorious.
FR is my ONLY social media account.
I cancelled my FB account two years ago. I realized that FB was drawing conclusions about me NOT based on what I posted, but on what my friends were posting. Guilt by association.
BINGO!
