5 ways to use up your leftover ham
the take out ^ | 12/16/2020 | Allison Robicelli

One of the most exciting things about roasting a ham is the guarantee of leftovers. I’m sure with enough training and perseverance it’s possible to finish off an entire ham in a single sitting, but outside of winning a bet, what would be the point? Each and every ham that comes into your life should be allowed to delight you in myriad ways, and we’ve got ideas for how to make the most of every morsel. No sad microwaved ham slabs for you! You deserve nothing but good things, and, as always, ham is here to help.

Sandwiches Anyone can make a half-assed ham and cheese sandwich, but if you put a little work into it, you can have a ham sandwich so brilliant that other, inferior ham sandwiches will tremble in its wake.

Just a heads up that Aldi's now has spiral glazed half hams for just 95 cents per pound. It will say $1.69 per pound but will ring up at 95 cents. I bought a half ham last week and it was so good that I bought another one for eating tomorrow and yet another one for New Years Eve party.

As to my leftovers, I use cook them with onions and eggs for breakfast.

Real men don’t eat quiche or anything else that doesn’t come from a bovine quadruped.

This is a quote from someone but I can’t remember who.

Gays don't bother me. Statists are a problem. Quiche is an outright rejection of American exceptionaliam and should be avoided outright.

Now, France helped us kick out the British, so I generally grant them wide berth. I'm down with soufflés.

I read that Liberals are 28 percent more likely than conservatives to eat fresh fruit daily, and 17 percent more likely to eat toast or a bagel in the morning, while conservatives are 20 percent more likely to skip breakfast.

Ten percent of liberals surveyed indicated they are vegetarians, compared with 3 percent of conservatives. On that topic, Tofu is outright evil. It makes little children develop into women faster, regardless if they're boys or girls..small wonder tofu is part of the liberal plot.

Liberals are 28 percent more likely than conservatives to enjoy beer, with 60 percent of liberals indicating they like beer. (I find this way hard to believe.)

The majority of both liberals and conservatives agreed there's a significant difference between organic and processed food. My suspicion is that liberals want the govt to force organic food to cost less, and conservatives want the govt to re-open local organic food stores vs let Whole Foods run roughshod over the competition in COVID19.

Thank you. /rant

Awesome rant! Now, what about pineapple on pizza?

(I'm not hijacking the thread. You can put your leftover ham on there too)

Half an onion chopped. Butter and oil to saute.

Once onions are translucent add 1 ounce of flour for roux. Cook the roux until it doesn’t smell like raw flour.

Add Milk. 3-4 cups depending on how you like it. simmer with 1 clove, add salt and white pepper to taste.

Once it thickens add cheese.

Tillamook Cheddar is our choice usually because we’re in Oregon. You could do Gruyere with a little nutmeg for the French/Belgian version.

Pour over the potatoe rounds and cook for around an hour or so.

I cut out slices the shape of my soles and use them as insoles. If you cut the ham slices the right thickness they are firm yet flexible.

And instead of your feet smelling like parmesan cheese at the end of the day, they smell more like a Hawaiian pizza.
