Fauci apparently thinks it's appropriate to deceive the public for their own good

In a startling interview with the New York Times, Dr. Anthony Fauci,head of the government's coronavirus taskforce, admitted that he did not level with the American people about how many people would need to be vaccinated in order to achieve herd immunity because he didn't think the public was ready to hear his true thoughts, which he feared might discourage people from getting vaccinated.
The Times article catalogued Dr. Fauci's changing position on how many Americans would need to be vaccinated, which he initially stated would be 60-70 percent. As noted by the Times, about a month ago, Fauci's tune began to change and he suggested that the figure was actually 70-75 percent. Last week, in an interview with CNBC, he upped that figure (again) to "75 to 80-plus percent." In the interview with the Times, he changed his estimate yet again and suggested that the figure actually may be "close to 90 percent."
According to the Times, in the telephone interview, "Dr. Fauci acknowledged that he had slowly but deliberately been moving the goal posts. He is doing so, he said, partly based on new science, and partly on his gut feeling that the country is finally ready to hear what he really thinks."
In other words, Fauci's advice to the American public on one of the most critical aspects of the coronavirus pandemic, has not consisted entirely of his honest opinion, formulated by the best science, but rather on what he thinks the country is ready to hear.

Not mine, but I pay a fortune to choose each doctor. They are having their minds crushed by checkbox electronic medical records. My family of doctors escaped after the expropriation of their clinic when Canada went socialist. Returning to visit 10 years later, the best clinicians had lost their fine honed edge. Socialism/checkbox medicine robs a doctor of the one thing that threatens authoritarians like Fauci: independent judgement and action.
Freedom to think about a case, taking time to consider differential diagnoses, then planning a campaign to address the diagnosis, that is the essence of doctoring. Before Johnson, we produced the best system in history. But once the Feds pushed Medicare, then DRE’s, capitation, and on and on to Electronic Med Records held by the IRS, and checkboxes...the Fauci bureaucrats gleefully took control. Runts like him are paid a fortune for their mediocrity. It’s stomach turning because I have known the before, the transition, and the end of our once brilliant system.
He should have been run through an industrial shredder a long time ago.

You must be a doctor or have talked with one. My doc (35 years with him) told me his group is installing a different electronic medical record program next year that will take even more of his time. When he looked through my chart of 3 decades of paper records, it took seconds to review my history. He could even chat while flipping pages. Now, he spends precious time trying to find the data in categories Fauci mediocrities defined. Not his own charting method but some programmer who lacks awareness of how doctors think. When the data is transferred the new Med Rec system, imagine how much more byzantine the filing system becomes! And this causes the best clinicians to just give up and retire. In my work, so far, I have been spared but once I’m required to chart using their system, I will quit.
HE SHOULD BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY.
