My family of doctors escaped after the expropriation of their clinic when Canada went socialist. Returning to visit 10 years later, the best clinicians had lost their fine honed edge. Socialism/checkbox medicine robs a doctor of the one thing that threatens authoritarians like Fauci: independent judgement and action.
Freedom to think about a case, taking time to consider differential diagnoses, then planning a campaign to address the diagnosis, that is the essence of doctoring. Before Johnson, we produced the best system in history. But once the Feds pushed Medicare, then DRE’s, capitation, and on and on to Electronic Med Records held by the IRS, and checkboxes...the Fauci bureaucrats gleefully took control.
