You must be a doctor or have talked with one. My doc (35 years with him) told me his group is installing a different electronic medical record program next year that will take even more of his time. When he looked through my chart of 3 decades of paper records, it took seconds to review my history. He could even chat while flipping pages. Now, he spends precious time trying to find the data in categories Fauci mediocrities defined. Not his own charting method but some programmer who lacks awareness of how doctors think. When the data is transferred the new Med Rec system, imagine how much more byzantine the filing system becomes! And this causes the best clinicians to just give up and retire. In my work, so far, I have been spared but once I’m required to chart using their system, I will quit.
