Sounds like misreporting. The Vatican was OK with vaccines which had been tested by third parties on stem cell lines which may have included aborted fetuses. This would be an enormous change in a policy that was only restated a few weeks ago.

This is one instance which easily falls into remote and not proximate moral culpability.
There are tons of morally remote problems with everday products that we use.
From Coffee onto the electronic devices we are using to post on Freerepublic.com with, even though we aren’t proximately employing exploitative child labor and slavery, tons of products that we use have been produced through working to death slaves in foreign countries.
I’m not advocating our trade policy, only pointing out that the argument of using this vaccine simply because has been tested on abortive tissue is just not proximate Cooperation with evil, it is remote in the same way as it is remote for you to drink your slave-labor farmed coffee in the morning.
It is the moral equivalent of refusing to allow kidney transplant from a murder victim or executed prisoner (morally you are not allowed to get organs from executed prisoners because it encourages the death penalty, but in the case of a murder victim there is no link).
I agree drug companies should be discouraged from using these cell lines, but considering they abort hundreds of thousands of babies each year with little protest, it seems a bit exaggerated.
The Russian sputnik vaccine is based on chimpanzees so get that one... and the Moderna did not make the vaccine with cell lines from abortions, but they did use the aborted linked cellines to test it.
