Amazing, we are at #10 already. “The Banning of Political Competition” which effectively happened when SCOTUS legalized election fraud for Democraps.
Read the RISE AND FALL OF THE THIRD REICH by Shirer.
It’s been quite some time since I’ve watched some of the more indepth pre-WWII documentaries, but this topic is a good one if you want to make sure history doesn’t repeat itself, because you can sometimes find parallels.
For one thing, I recall that they infiltrated police departments in several cities, and used that to coerce and intimate local politics. I’ll just throw three words at that for current contexts; ‘defund the police’
They gained a foothold in their Reichstag (or whatever their parliament was called before that, I forget) by focusing on defeating the communist minority. In that way, there isn’t much of a current parallel to it because if I recall correctly they didn’t have 2 party rule like we do. Still, it’s interesting how parts of our democrat party are getting picked off by radicals.
1-have a generation wiped out by a bunch of useless royals! 2- have a bunch of Kansas farm boys ship out with covid 1. 3 Have a stock collapse 4 the rest is inevitable.
They were Goose Steps....................
There’s 85 year old German President Paul von Hindenburg who named Adolph as German leader and gave him emergency powers...
Article 48 and the Enabling Act. Those two things pretty much sealed the deal for Hitler.
So Twitter took down the co sedative version but is allowing the liberzl version to remain?
Terpsichorean steps?
I disagree with the idea that Hitler “seized” power.
The NSDAP presented itself as the only alternative to the failed parties of the Weimar government and enough people voted them into power that they were able to form a government. It is of no small irony that no one has ever accused the Nazis of rigging the elections they participated in...unlike the Democrats.
The NSDAP improved people’s lives and that helped them to gain more power in an open electoral process. They were definitely socialist and they also established a welfare state that was celebrated by American leftists.
When Hitler ordered the German army to retake the remaining territories occupied by the French and Belgians his personal popularity soared and when the NSDAP consolidated political power by making the chancellor into a dictator the move was celebrated by most Germans.
In short, he did not ‘seize’ power although some people feel better about themselves if they think of it that way.
Banned personal guns?
