Model-Fashion Mogul Kat Von D Leaving California Over High Taxes, Corruption, and ‘Tyrannical Government Overreach’
Breitbart ^ | 22 Dec 2020 | BEN KEW

Fashion mogul, model, and reality TV star Kat Von D has announced she is leaving California and moving to Indiana part-time because of the “tyrannical government overreach” by the Golden State’s Democratic officials.

Posting on Facebook, the 38-year-old LA Ink star also cited high taxes, corruption, and “terrible policies” for her decision to relocate.

“Definitely not ever selling our beautiful home in LA, but with all that’s been taking place in California, with terrible policies, tyrannical government overreach, ridiculous taxing, amongst so much more corruption, we just felt the need to plant roots in a small town where my son can be free to play, and where we can eventually retire one day.”

“We aren’t selling our home,” she added. “But we will eventually be spending more time in beautiful Indiana once I finish doing some remodeling on our new historic house.”

Less than an hour later, she posted a photo of herself standing in front of her new house in Indiana.”It’s official!” she wrote. “Vevay, Indiana here we come!”

Another reason why I like you. I’m an OLD SCHOOL Goth, we’re talking Bauhaus and Joy Division goth level... I also love classic horror movies, Alice Cooper and my first crush as a child was, no lie, Max Shrek.

Strangely, I am the least gothy looking goth — put me in a Pendleton sweater and I am the FEMALE version of the Dude from the Big Lebowski (no facial hair, though, and I no longer drink) but... I abide, most definitely.

And no lib has ever even attepted to curb stomp me, because even at 5 feet tall, I could bench press 180 at my prime and am built like a mini gorilla.

Great chart, but missing one critical element: Anarcho-Syndicalism. Which as my tagline indicates, is well represented in the modern culture oft-quoted here in FR, namely that of Monty Python.

Seriously though, what happened to Anarcho-Syndicalism on that chart? I suspect it would be halfway along a straight line between the boxes of Syndicalism and Anarcho-Collectivism, about where Anti-Authoritarianism is located, which actually sounds about right.

salamander knows this, but one of my favorite punks is Bobby Steele. Aside from his band, The Undead, totally rocking, he got clean and sober and became Born Again. He still swears at gigs, but the man invented the downstroke and remains a sight to be seen. He is the epitome of "don't judge a book by its cover." (Bobby is second from the left, with his wife Diana.)

Excellent, Sir!

(Wherever do you dig up these charts? I'm guessing.... the internet.)

Yes.. the internet was created for political graphs and cat videos.

Seriously, I was looking at the World's Smallest Political Quiz website last night. There is a greater amount of distribution of the results for self-identified Republicans vs Dems. Perhaps that means the Dems are, gasp, not very inclusive?

They’re throwing around the idea of a “wealth tax” in Cali. I wonder if Miss Von D has considered that? Probably too late to avoid whatever Gov. Newsom & the legislature are planning since they are talking about a 10-year claw back.

She may not be your cup of tea but apparently, she's trendy. I do know she makes a fortune from her make up line. That said, we conservatives need to stop being so puritanical. It isn't what a person looks like that matters, it's that they share our political inclinations.

Being against Newsome hardly puts one on “our” side.
At least she has some sense and independent thought.
She seems more Libertarian than Conservative.
But I agree, any help to swing things our way is needed.
I care far more about freedom, small government, and the economy than government’s hand in “morals”.
I am far from Puritanical, especially by FR standards.

Bobby Steele was one of the Misfits at one point, correct? I think after Danzig left, he stood in for a while?

Yes, Bobby was in the Misfits during their salad days/1978-1980. While with The Misfits, he performed on the Horror Business, Night of the Living Dead and 3 Hits from Hell EPs and his playing can also be heard on the Beware and Halloween EPs as well as the "missing" Misfits album 12 Hits from Hell.

He was kicked out in October 1980, replaced by Jerry Only's younger brother Doyle. Bobby swears getting kicked out was the best thing that ever happened to him.

I reject these Misfit reunions unless Bobby is there (he is a superior guitarist and is the real deal). Indeed, here is a clip of Bobby doing standards at a charity event where people bring coats and blankets for the homeless in NYC. Again, books and covers....

The Newfits are ridiculous, although Famous Monsters is a fun little album. Doyle is nice to look at, but the dude is brain damaged, and a terrible guitarist.

Early ‘fits — oh how I love them!!

Word. Here are clips of Bobby/The Undead 'covering' London Dungeon and Halloween and an Undead tune "A Life of Our Own and finally Night of the Living Dead (in Salem, which is pretty cool, with some other dude singing but you can see Bobby jackhammering away).

Yes, Bobby playing in bars tops the Newfits in front of tens of thousands of people. And, one last time, you can't judge a book by the cover.
