Just looked it up. It’s amendment 833 (put in by Escobar of TX, that putz) to the NDAA, not the Covid bill. Trump is not going to sign NDAA, but McConnell and Schumer are plotting to override.

The most stupid and sick part, (nearly guaranteed), if Trump would have signed this bill, EVEN WHILE CONGRESS TRIED TO UNLAWFULLY AMEND THE US CONSTITUTION, the Judicial Branch, and especially Roberts, would have found a way to let the unlawful provision and bill stand...

I just watched President Trump’s comments. You’ve got to love this guy, as not only is he a fighter, he is taking the Dems to the woodshed. His basic argument is give the money to the American people, and to American companies; and not to foreign governments, illegal aliens, and lobbyists and their pet projects.

State as opinion—great—but as fact, how about backing it up with concrete information—and unless you have had personal communications with the President, can you really state as fact?

Offering to make a bet in no way backs up a fact...LOL besides, what would YOU offer? This is rhetorical as 1. I don’t think you could offer equal trade, and 2. I don’t play games of chance since I cannot predict/control the outcome :)

To me, the important point (made by another poster) is that Dems and some GOP seem to continually attempt to subvert the President’s CONSTITUTIONAL authority (whether or not he exercises it). As reported here and elsewhere, this bill has far less to do with actually helping struggling families than with pork—much of it going abroad (and I can source that with the President’s most recent Tweet).

BTW, I have faith Trump will win.
