Regarding taking a vaccine developed in a single weekend, you first.
I’m happy that Trump got the vaccine approved by the constitutionally undefined FDA in under a year.
But still, you go first with the vaccine.
This is an unique circumstance. Why didn’t we do challenge trials? Dr. Fauci hated Trump so he would rather wait and blame the pandemic on Trump?
I would guess.
It’s been pretty obvious they have not been getting sick with it for whatever reason.
I do recall a hot mic comment at some press conference back in the summer when one reporter told another that they could dispense with the masks because they had all had the vaccine, when it wasn’t even announced to have been developed yet.
People were questioning then how they could have a non-existent vaccine.
Things make more sense under this paradigm.
No it can’t. Anyone who passed high school biology class should know better.
Saying mRNA can alter DNA is like saying I can alter a nuclear power plant by plugging in AA batteries at my house. It’s absurd.
Challenge trials with a deadly disease are unethical.

The headline is a lie. The vaccine only existed in a computer model. It took significant effort and time to develop and manufacture an ACTUAL VACCINE. Then, the author suggests we skip all the initial steps of testing the vaccine and go straight to Challenge Trials. No in vitro or animal testing. No trials for dosage, efficacy or safety. Let’s just jab 30,000 people and expose them to COVID. He claims this is how it would work in a “free” country. Yeah, a “free” country like China, where the “volunteers would be political prisoners. This vaccine was developed, tested, manufactured and approved in record time. I’ve heard plenty of people claim it was “rushed”, but now it was “slow walked”?
Government “protecting” us from freedom.

No, I don’t think this is the correct interpretation of the facts. The mRNA vaccines are an entirely new type of vaccine using synthetic genetic material. There have been no long terms studies on how the human body will process them. However, the pharmaceutical companies have wanted to produce them for a long time and jumped at the chance of having all the regular protocols waived in order to try them out. The slow walking was to wait until people got so fed-up with the lockdowns they were willing to take experimental vaccines to get out of the “national emergency.”
Around 60,000 people have already “gone first”.
It works. It’s safe. It’s effective. It was designed in a weekend because that’s how the gen3 (mRNA) platform works: all you need to know is the code for the protein you want. After that, it’s simply a matter of assembling the mRNA that encodes for that and wrapping it in a lipid shell.
This is why all future vaccines will be on the mRNA platform. No more spending months growing it in chicken eggs. That’s the old way. This way is cheaper, faster, and safer. It’s the results of decades of research and development. There’s a reason every major drug company has poured tons of resources into this platform. Anyone who can’t do this will be an old slow dinosaur left in the dust of everyone else.
In any event, is it less ethical than what has actually happened without challenge trials?

nope. shewed numbers, much less actually died of Covid 19. Shame any had to die due to manufactured virus.
Only problem is we wouldn’t be able to vaccinate the elderly right away if we did challenge trials with healthy folks under the age of 65.
The author thinks that's how "free" countries conduct trials.
mitochondrial RNA is part of our genetic make up - I said nothing about DNA- you just read that in to it.

We read the articles this spring as they used a computer design system to come up with a plausible protein configuration to use in a vaccine. Who would put such a substance in themselves without testing?
It was available on day one.
