San Francisco on Thursday announced a mandatory 10-day quarantine for anyone coming into the city from outside the Bay Area, and it went into effect Friday.
The travel quarantine order, which started at 12:01 a.m. Friday, remains in effect until at least 12:01 a.m. Jan. 4. It applies to returning residents and those moving to the city who spent any time outside the following nearby counties: San Mateo, Santa Clara, Alameda, Contra Costa, Solano, Sonoma, Napa, Marin and Santa Cruz.
Those who have to quarantine have to stay home and not physically interact with others outside their household. They are not allowed to go to work, school or any other place outside their home. They should have food and other essential items delivered to them.
There are some limited exemptions, including for medical professionals, first responders and those with official government business.
Anyone found to be violating the order could face a fine, imprisonment, or both, according to the city.
This is a virus with a 99 percent-plus survival rate.
Most of those who have died are very elderly, or already very sick.
For privacy reasons, I’m sure, we haven’t been informed of the number of drug addicts and alcoholics who have succumbed to it. But I’m guessing it’s a substantial number.
The only reason for Democrat authorities to continue peddling quarantines and fear is to keep the sheeple in line.
Nothing more than a clever way to enact a ‘lockdown’ without calling it a ‘lockdown’ to prevent celebrations of Christmas and New Years.
It's worse than that. John Roberts is allowing this to happen.
libertylover's rule would be that under no circumstances would the Bill of Rights not in effect.
Someone wanting to sit in a room for 10 days just for the privilege to step in human waste once they are allowed to leave.
Can’t think of anyone else.
Are they going to seal off BART from coming into the City? And what about people who have to get to or from the airport?
So is it still OK to go to San Francisco just to Cr@p on the sidewalk?
Yes. As a matter of fact it is. And no one will grouse at you if you forget to flush and leave the lid up.
