San Francisco on Thursday announced a mandatory 10-day quarantine for anyone coming into the city from outside the Bay Area, and it went into effect Friday.
The travel quarantine order, which started at 12:01 a.m. Friday, remains in effect until at least 12:01 a.m. Jan. 4. It applies to returning residents and those moving to the city who spent any time outside the following nearby counties: San Mateo, Santa Clara, Alameda, Contra Costa, Solano, Sonoma, Napa, Marin and Santa Cruz.
Those who have to quarantine have to stay home and not physically interact with others outside their household. They are not allowed to go to work, school or any other place outside their home. They should have food and other essential items delivered to them.
There are some limited exemptions, including for medical professionals, first responders and those with official government business.
Anyone found to be violating the order could face a fine, imprisonment, or both, according to the city.

Travelers passing through San Francisco International Airport and not staying in the city overnight do not have to quarantine. For a full list of exemptions, click here.

No visits for Christmas...
Is there anyone in San Francisco any more, other than the homeless and crazy??
Who wants to come to San Franshitsco?
Who would want to travel to Sodom by the sea?
Please make CA stop.
The prime hope is the “Big One”.
Secondary might be COVID.
Third could be a revolt against the Gov with a record setting viewing of his hanging & disposal.
Extra points if the CA congresscritters (both state and national) accompany him.
Please, oh please.
Well, I don’t know, this seems like a great idea. Quarantine San Francisco. Nobody out. Country will be a better place for this.
But you can still crap 💩 in the streets
Imagine being quarantined in Bagdad-by-the-Bay.
They get what they voted for.
When the restaurants were open and entertainment venues it was a great place to visit.
Now, it’s dead like a one of those Ghost Cities in China.
Weird to hear Christmas music playing at 11am, 9 days before Christmas and only a couple people in Union Square like it’s a No Go Zone
“...not physically interact with others outside their household.”
The rules seem to be getting more strict every month. Typical losers who like to manage others rather than themselves.
San Francisco is a beautiful city and tourists love it: spectacular views, beautiful churches, wonderful restaurants and amazing museums. The new De Young museum is fun. The nice thing about SFMOMA is that it is next to St. Patrick’s church, the number 4 building on the California Historical Building list.
The March for Life in SF every January is hated by the leftists and politicians, because the March for Life is not demonic.
I trust that the SF Police will not be stopping anyone for walking around without a mask or visiting from Los Angeles.
I used to like San Francisco, but I have not been there for years. Not going there now!
I was just there yesterday and doesn’t look like it.
Weird to walk into 44 Montgomery, ONE California, 50 California and 101 California where I had to visit clients and there is simply no one there.
I shouldn’t know the name of the guards there and they shouldn’t recognize me in normal times because so many people go in and out of those buildings.
Union Square is a disaster...
“I trust that the SF Police will not be stopping anyone for walking around without a mask...”
I walked right past 8 or 9 LEO at various points the other day, no mask, wishing them “Merry Christmas and please stay safe”
they bid me the same
What about Nancy? She’s gonna be coming home soon I bet ya.
