I've been a loyal Republican for many decades. I've voted for Nixon through Trump (holding my nose for Romney and McCain). Unless the Republican leadership stands up and fights for Trump -- I'm finished. Let's do to the Republican Party what we did to Fox News!
Although I have sympathy for libertarian ideas I couldn't join the Libertarian Party due to their stance on drug legalization. So, I'll become one of the much sought after independents.

I’m with you. When I take one of those tests that tell you what you are, I’m sitting on the line between Republican and Libertarian. After a year of heavy-handed GOP and RAT dictators, I could overlook the drug thing, as it’s so similar to alcohol. Personal responsibility. Both are harmful to others like family, but we MUST take care of bigger business, i.e., the survival of America.

Step 1: Flood WinRed with demands that they remove you from their call and email lists. I text “stop” but they don't stop. So keep texting "stop" and go online and tell them stop. Tell their sales reps NO MORE MONEY FOR GOP and hang up. Just flooding them with "stop" demands starting 6 Jan 2021.
Step 2: Either online or in person change your voter status to “Independent.” The drop in GOP registered voters will be seen by GOPe leadership. When they see a FOX News style GOP Exit, then they will panic, because that translates into dollars. You really did not think you meant more then that to them did you?
Since the enemies of freedom aren’t just the establishment Republicans, but, of course, the Democrats, cancelling the Republican Party really only addresses half the problem.
I’d rather see patriots take it over and re-direct it, since it is already embedded in the workings of the country’s politics.
The first step is going to need to be to weaken it, and the Leftists, through rebellion.
The most effective non-violent rebellions through history have been tax rebellions, in my opinion.
If this election is stolen and the Republican so called leadership remains silent, millions of us are going to form a new version of an Independent party. I am done .
How really independent can you be when one of the other parties is democrats?
We could all change our party affiliation to Democrat and try and take it over.

We need to TAKE OVER the Republican Party and cull the herd of prima donnas who don’t have the intestinal fortitude to save our 244-year-old Republic. We take notes over the next 5 weeks and then jettison them. This is the real deal. Man up or hide.

I’m starting to think that maybe our side needs to start rioting or something. They’re rolling over for the left, because the left might riot if they don’t get their way. We used to be a rule of law nation. Not any more. Laws only seem to apply to one side.

I don’t see how having a slim majority in the Senate makes any difference — there will always be a Romney (or other RINO).
I tend to think reform as a better remedy than abandonment.
