These are business loans.
I would bet the folks that stick their schonze in the public trough will be asked to pay taxes at some point - just like a business.
Bad idea.
I was more concerned about “stop preaching abortion is wrong and marriage is one man-one woman if you don’t want to have to pay it all back”.
Or “everyone getting the money must pay for social justice jihadis to give them ‘diversity training’ every 3 months”.
The borrower is slave to the lender. I’m sure I’ve read that in Proverbs somewhere....
That being said, if the congregation is hurting and not able to support the staff, that means the staff will need to be reduced or laid off temporarily. Not take government loans to keep up appearances.
But Joel needs that new jet!
