'This was the final straw': Five 'Mission: Impossible' crew members QUIT after Tom Cruise has ANOTHER rant on set following his fury about staff breaking COVID rules

Five crew members on the Mission: Impossible set have reportedly quit after Tom Cruise had a second furious rant.

It had been claimed on Tuesday the actor, 58, gave staff an X-rated dressing down after he caught them breaking UK Covid rules at Warner Bros. Studios in Leavesden, Hertfordshire.

Now a source has said that after news of the first outburst was made public, there has been 'more anger' at the already 'tense' production, reports The Sun.

The insider said: 'Tension has been building for months and this was the final straw. Since it became public there has been more anger and several staff have walked.

'But Tom just can't take any more after all the lengths they have gone to just to keep filming at all. He's upset others aren't taking it as seriously as him.'

They added it is Tom who feels responsible for the production after putting so much time and money into ensuring precautions are in place so the team can film.

MailOnline has contacted Tom Cruise's representatives for a comment.

It was previously reported that the Hollywood star scolded workers who flouted social distancing rules while filming at Warner Bros. Studios.

Invoking the no-nonsense attitude of his character, Ethan Hunt, the actor is said to have told them 'If I see you doing it again, you're f***ing gone,' according to The Sun.

The paper said the dressing down was recorded on an audio tape, in which he is heard to add: 'And if anyone in this crew does it, that's it — and you too and you too.

'And you, don't you ever f***ing do it again. We are not shutting this f***ing movie down.'

The American actor was reportedly angered after seeing the pair stood less than a metre away from each other

He’s enforcing rules to follow restrictions that he didn’t make, so that the UK government doesn’t shut down a multi-million dollar production for covid violations. Sounds reasonable, and it sounds like he cares if people stay employed in this difficult time.

The hatred for Tom Cruise is among the most irrational I’ve ever witnessed for any celebrity. Most of it stems from religious bigotry from high horse Christians. Others hate him for being ‘short’ at 5’8”, which is completely average. He had a temper flare up? Boohoo! I’ve seen much worse from members here directed at other members.

All he had to do was calmly walk up to those he deemed not following the rules and have security take those he pointed to directly off the set (fired).

No juvenile rant or money-grubbing conniption fit: Solid, effective leadership.

This is how I’ve always judged good supervision.....when I worked in offices for so long when I was younger.

It’s normal for people to take immediate offense to being called out for not doing their job. Slackers never think they are actually slacking. At least, they never admit to it. I see no purpose in pussyfooting around with slackers either, it’s a waste of time, I already know how they’ll react when confronted.

It’s Tom Cruise’ job to oversee the production of MI7, and those people knew the rules going in. It’s not the job of Mission Impossible crew to march on the British Parliament and take it over and reverse Covid restrictions.

Agreed. He does not need the State coming down and shutting down the production and making him out to be the bad guy. It’s a lot of unnecessary stress but he is trying to work through this insanity like everyone else.

I don’t know how a hair dresser—wardrobe person or make up person can do their job from 6 feet away.
