I have prescribed this medication many times. Unfortunately the hospital chain that I work for has decided to limit this. It is a disgrace. Perhaps one of the most irresponsible decisions I have seen, and I will fight to work around this.
Why do you think that is? Curious to know from a practicing DR.

Your medical community has not failed you. I daily put my livelihood on the line by using this off label as the attorneys are ready to sue, and the administrators are unable to think outside the box. PLEASE UNDERSTAND YOUR GOVERNMENT, TRIAL LAWYERS AND BUREAUCRATS have FAILED you.

Honest question: can ivermectin for animals be used if apportioned in human doses? It appears to be the same chemical make up.

My brother is in the ICU right now with COVID. So much for all those folks who have been denying the danger it poses for some. He is being treated with steroids, remdesivir and was given plasma antibody treatment last night and this morning.
No medical professional would recommend that, the liability environment in the US being what it is.

Australia was using it early on and India has now chosen it as the preferred method. Australia has a low death rate.
The EVMS Covid Protocol calls for Ivermectin in that situation. Along with a bunch of other stuff, probably with some overlap of what he’s getting.

If your brother can be treated with the ivermectin trifecta it could save his life. Stop being spiteful and sniping and get educated and go advocate for him, ivermectin works even in late stages

I would prefer the human version, but if there is no one willing to fill or prescribe the dose is 12 mg a day for 5 days...
