While John and Yoko had their bed-in protest at the Hilton...over in Czechoslovakia, singer Marta Kubišová, was in the streets, protesting for freedom while Soviet tanks rolled through the city. During this communist show of force, Kubišová's "A Prayer for Marta" became an underground anthem of freedom. Kubišová wasn't imprisoned--merely banned--reduced to a menial job for 20 years. Above is a video; Kubišová sings the anthem from a balcony--impromptu--just after communism has fallen; a crowd gathers in the streets; they see her perform for the first time in 20 years.... As the left rises in America, I watch this video and feel better.
I preferred using the "Floating Head of Death", as in the Far Side cartoon.
Thank you! I don’t speak a word of Czech but that was beautiful.
You made this middle aged man tear up.

Cancel culture. That’s where it was invented.
Hook is a hideously ugly, vile, venom dripping, excuse for a proto human being. Exactly like senator Hirono
(The old one. The new is so woke it makes Mojo Jojo cry)
Never heard of them, Harmless. Looked them up and watch the Ringo Starr Connecton. Thanks. : )
As far as I am concerned that was the silver age of TV cartoons.
Yeah, I used to watch some with my daughter but I can’t remember all of them. Bel & Sebastian. She used to like Mr. Dress Up...out of Canada (not a cartoon).
You two are right. I think a more accurate (and frightening) phrasing is that the left’s “apparatus” is rising.
