The head of the Texas Republican Party floated the threat of seceding from the U.S. in a tantrum over the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to bounce a baseless Texas election lawsuit.
On Friday, the court rejected Texas’ attempt to challenge votes from the battleground states of Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania that voted for President-elect Joe Biden instead of Donald Trump.
Texas GOP Chair Allen West said in a statement following the news that “perhaps” it’s time for “law-abiding states to bond together and form a Union of states that will abide by the constitution.”

They don’t understand basic things like deficits, etc. And they think that government is the answer to all their problems. The very problems that they created and now offer solutions to. And if the government they seek for help isn’t big enough, they keep climbing the ladder until they get to Uncle Sugar and then they throw their temper tantrums and with the help of scumbag RINOs, they get their way.
As for the tax revenue that the Blue States bring to the table, once again, it isn’t about what you bring in, it’s about what you dole out. And the first thing to go would be all the social welfare bennies going to folks that, shouldn’t even be here, nor many be getting.
The goal is to control, if not outright federalize police.
That’s exactly what the goal is. That way Big Fed controls it all and dictates all.
Interesting thing, though. I have a friend that is a recruiting manager for a company that provides large scale security services for the feds, all over the world and country. US Dept of Labor conducted a study that showed every year there are 5% fewer people willing to become cops, firemen, EMT, or join the military. And they traced the trend back a few years. So, now we’re at around the 70-75% mark. And the trend is continuing. Pretty soon, cities/towns, etc won’t have to worry about defunding anything as there will be no qualified candidates, for any of those jobs.
But, at the same time, in this age of The ‘Rona, if there are cops that are willing to cite or arrest a taxpayer for not wearing a mask, then defund that position on the spot.
Don’t they have those nice Tesla electric cars that don’t need gasoline?
There will be violence or at least mass arrests ordered by the Feds anyways to force the states not to secede.
