The head of the Texas Republican Party floated the threat of seceding from the U.S. in a tantrum over the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to bounce a baseless Texas election lawsuit.

On Friday, the court rejected Texas’ attempt to challenge votes from the battleground states of Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania that voted for President-elect Joe Biden instead of Donald Trump.

Texas GOP Chair Allen West said in a statement following the news that “perhaps” it’s time for “law-abiding states to bond together and form a Union of states that will abide by the constitution.”

I'm in.

One of the reasons the Dem's would be scared sh*tless of this, if the Southeast-Midwest and Mountain stats, seceded, that's where all the food and oil are. The Left would be helpless.

Another issue for the Dem's, almost all of the 'Blue States' are as RED as they can be outside of their major cities. And all those folks, like the ones in Illinois that don't live in Chicago, Springfield or Bloomington, would want in on the new country.

It would be awesome to have happen.

Couldn’t be any plainer or simpler...

“law-abiding states to bond together and form a Union of states that will abide by the constitution.”

At this point I am for secession. The downside though is the West Coast and the Northeast become a Chinese colony. So what about the Monroe Doctrine? The last time it was really implemented was during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

If only. Conservatives (ignoring this forum) aren’t ready or willing for CW II.

Sounds like a great plan.

Put the capitol of the new confederacy in Topeka, or Laramie.

What tantrum, bozo?

If you’re of the ilk like the rest of us on this site, we have only one leader. President Donald Trump. We’ve letting him get his ass handed to him for 4 years. Have we attended his rallies? Yes. Are we showing up at our state capitols demanding that our Republican state reps do the right thing? NOPE. But now we’re failing him. Pure and simple.

As for the leadership statement...we need one. another one. Not the President. Who can rally the people. Someone with some notoriety, fame, whatever. Anyone else is taken out by the Fed’s for some made up charge and tucked away.

And at no time have I ever condoned burning things and hitting people. However, I am a strong supporter of someone, if confronted with ANTIFA/BLM blocking a road or surrounding a vehicle for no reason, stepping on the skinny pedal and running as many of them over as possible.

Not sure how you made that ridiculous statement. But then again, you did identify yourself as a clown.

Just sayin’

I nominate L Lin Wood and Sidney Powell to make the “ leadership statement “.

There sure aren’t many in the current Congress up to the task.

I think the map is off, by a lot, but it makes sense now.

https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2010/06/map-of-the-day-ex-kgb-analyst-predicts-balkanization-of-us/58945/#:~:text=While%20they%20were%20cozying%20up%20in%20America%2C%20a,of%20the%20U.S.%20into%20six%20pieces%20by%202010.

And, as is widely known, even the majority of the ‘Blue States’ are only blue because of the cities. Take away NYC, Albany and a few other small areas and NY is as RED as any state on the map. Right now there’s a petition to split the state up into 3 parts.

I’m going with General Flynn and Lt Col West. Maybe toss in Adm Rogers, if he’s what I hope he is.

Start with nullification. Fed.gov wants to take away guns? Just say “not here.” They want to ban ICE cars? say “maybe later.” Abortion a right? Not in our state.

Fed.gov, the deep state and its oligarchs are actually in a very “fragile” state. Radical change is an existential threat, and the must have the status quo.

As such, they will not gamble on conflict with the states over many issues.

Maybe parts of California and Oregon could become the State of Jefferson (as was proposed in the past), and much of Southern California could be ceeded to Mexico. That way the free states of the new U.S.A. would have access to the Pacific.

Maybe some of the big Blue cities in Red states could become independent city states. They would quickly collapse once they are supposed to be self-supporting. I guess if they want communism and starve as a result, then that is their problem. They can ask Venezuela for oil and food.

My opinion on this proposal is this.

What is there to gain from splitting away? Well for one, no more obnoxious environmental laws passed by freaks that know nothing of the issue. No more social justice laws. No more obnoxious laws of those sorts which infringe on individual rights.

So what would a state that enjoins this have? The basic freedoms that were originally intended for its citizens.

It’d be a stretch of hard times for those states forming a new republic, and that is for sure. But in the long run it would be worth it. Lots of volunteer work to take care of those like the elderly who need medical, etc, care.

But your property would be YOUR property. Your business would be your business.
