The Republic is Truly Dead
me

According to 7 of the 9 SCOTUS judges, any number of states can brazenly violate the US constitution in order to achieve what political aims they favor – and no other state(s) can have leave to argue the issue before the premier federal court. Of course Texas has standing! If any state of a republic violates the laws (US constitution) that apply to all, any other state has standing to at least have a hearing – if not eventual justice.

Let’s say a neighbor does something obnoxious that not only violates local laws but impacts me – e.g., burning auto tires in his back yard – enveloping my house in smoke. What? Local “law enforcement” does nothing because he is politically connected? So, I can’t even go to ANY court for remedy?

What is the purpose of that court if not to hear disputes between states? If a state violates the US constitution where is that wrong redressed if not in SCOTUS?

Three presumably conservative judges; Gorsuch, Barrett, and Kavanaugh apparently agreed with others that whatever happens in a state is only that state’s business, regardless of how it affects others. Apparently, they are no better at integrity than Roberts – with his re-writing of Obama care as a tax bill and then not returning it to the House in accordance with the constitution. Obviously, none of their oaths to uphold the constitution meant anything.

We are no longer a republic. We are now a single political entity with all orders issued by DC. And, we are expected/told to shut up.

California and NY State are test cases for my theory they are busy destroying themselves, companies and people are leaving in droves and will be replaced by millions of poor illegal immigrants allowed to rush our border.....

The producers are leaving and getting replaced by people who contribute next to nothing...

Both states are in a death spiral, they raise taxes, drive people away which destroys their tax base, they raise taxes again drive more people away.....

But they still care about our wallets...

That's one thing we can use right now.

When you pay for TV, you put money into the leftist propaganda machine whether you watch them or not. Cut the cord and go back to antenna. You may miss out on some shows, but does the pleasure you get from that make up for what the leftists have put this country through?

Buy products made in red states, and from companies that haven't sold out to the left. I know we can't get 100%, but we can make a major dent. At this point, I'll choose American allies over blue state products if I can.

Comment on my ideas or post yours. Even if we win this time the left won't let up, so let's get serious about this.

Yes, patriots waited too long.

Too many bought into the farce that all we needed to do was watch fox and listen to rush and sean and pull the ‘R’ lever come election time.

I can give dozens of examples off the top of my head how we stood still while our rights were being dismantled month after month, year after year. And how our country was losing its culture and superiority in education and manufacturing every year.

The days of setting things right easily are over. And the luxury of waiting until you’re ‘ready’ to fight are over as well.

It’s all part of their plan. The people driven out still vote dem and will be replaced by immigrants.

“I think the answer still would have been the same. Up to the states to determine how they run their elections.”

I must be getting old. When the action of a state disenfranchises people in or of another state, then it is a crime under the constitution by erasing their vote.

I don’t understand it either. This election has widespread national implications. This is how secessionist movements get started. We shouldn’t be paying taxes to finance a cesspool. You’d think with what we pay, we would get good government and fair elections. Nope.

The three blind mice, Gorsuch, Barrett, and Kavanaugh, were recommended to Trump by the swamp, just like many of his appointments. The prediction here is they will all be Roberts clones.

God’s got this!! We are to pray and fast. My prayer is for patience in an answer that this has been decided and justice served only by the hand of Jesus Christ, not any man. Therefore those with hard hearts can follow demons inside them or actually repent and serve Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

It’s a very exciting time to be a Christian! New life in the confidence of our triune godhead!!!! We must wake up!

You combine the democratic cheating that has totally corrupted the election system, which no court will touch, with millions of new immigrants who will be allowed to vote you have a recipe for Single Party rule......

It’s happening and I’m not sure it can be stopped....when it all fails and surely it will at some point....what will our side ever do to try and put it all back together....

Something I’ve learned from Trump is to not quit; just keep going. If you hit an obstacle, don’t curl up and whimper; ask what you have to do next. That’s what he did over this latest setback. Whether or not you like his personality, he’s like an iron man who keeps going regardless of what is thrown in his way.

SCOTUS has said that we're basically no longer the United States of America. I don't know what we are now, but it's not good. Tough times are ahead, folks. Quite terrible times, most probably.

George Washington and other Founders warned against the destructive force of political factions. Of course, we failed to listen and pay attention. The Democrats run roughshod against law, order, and everything decent and honorable, and the Supreme Court gives them a pass to wreak further havoc on our Republic. Infinitely sad to witness, and we can do little about it short of another revolution. Right now I am just stunned and disheartened. I will need some time to absorb this.

Since the SC is willing to permit collusive fraud, why would they resist the democrat plan to demolish the Electoral College through the “national popular vote initiative?” Seems to me when democrat states reach the threshold 270 EV’s, they will disenfranchise their own populations by issuing slate of electors who will vote for a candidate who may have actually LOST the election in their state.

How will the Supremes legitimately entertain any lawsuit against the violation of the Compacts Clause?

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

You are saying that other states were disenfranchised because the defendant states abruptly changed their election laws, correct?

So if Trump won would you still want the suit brought? Your complaint would still be the same. Would you be saying that all the votes that came in late under the new rules should be thrown out? Even if it meant Trump would lose? Of course you wouldn’t because that is not the issue. The issue is the fraud. And that is on the Attorney General, Bill Barr, to enforce. But he is a traitor and the fact that Trump is not attacking and possibly firing him for being corrupt concerns me a great deal.

Well, you have good ideas there. When I go into the marketplace, I generally try to get the best quality that I can afford at the best price. But if the company wants to play politics, I can too.

But what I was talking about was taxes. They don't want to hear our voice, but they sure want us to pay our taxes. We truly have a situation of taxation without representation here.

I would add that the republic is not dead as long as there are people who understand it and believe in it. It may be in retreat; it may be attacked by many outside and inside forces, but it’s not dead.
It only takes a dedicated 5% minority to radically change a society. There are far more than 5% of the people who believe in Constitutional principals.
My own personal solution is to donate to the Barney Charter School Initiative. It’s a charter school project involving classical education overseen by Hillsdale College. I personally think that the head of the snake starts with the schools. The left does the same - it targets the schools.
Defeatism is not useful.

Only since the War of Northern Aggression has the concept of secession been declared illegal. Up until then each state believed that the Union could be dissolved due serious and irreconcilable grievances.

Several secession efforts were mounted to remove states in New England from the Union. The subject was not abhorrent in the thinking of leading scholars of the time.

In 2020 it appears that we have come to a possible flash point where irreconcilable differences between the States no longer has a legal path to resolution because the US Supreme Court is a bunch of Ivory Tower cowards who don't have the courage to lead and to settle the differences according to our Constitution that they so fervently declare their allegiance to.

Patrick Henry, the great orator from Virginia, warned against the centralization of power in the capital city and the corruption that would come from creating such a place. He said (paraphrasing) that Liberty was the language of America's youth, and that guarding that liberty was the sole purpose of our government and our courts. He also predicted quite correctly that the centralization of power would lead to avarice and corruption which in turn would destroy our precious liberties and potentially our Republic.

Well, Old Pat is probably gloating with an “I told you so” smirk on his face as he rests at Red Hill.

So begins the deconstruction of a once mighty Republic. I hope to see it in it's splendor and glory one more time before I pass from this earth, but i fear that the greed of men and the thirst for power at any cost has turned good people into practitioners of evil.

May God save His people and may God Save the once glorious United States of America

That’s not true. Our votes counted in 2016 when Mr. Trump was elected.

Not an unreasonable decision, if Texas suffers no direct harm from the corrupt elections in The various states named. Hence no standing.
The arguments central to the case are however ironclad, obvious and blatantly unconstitutional. And already proven by public action taken by courts and executive branch in those states and not the legislature as require.

These are the arguments the trump team should have made. Many of the claims the trump team made are valid. Some are ridiculous. All of them would take time to prove. The burden of proof is on the trump team.
