Pres. Reagan was almost ready to bite for a Co-presidency arrangement with Pres. Ford (who wasn’t on the original VP list) Ford wanted too much power and Reagan had to say no to him.

I just checked the donors list and don’t see your name on it once over the last year. And since you are not a Robinson, I am guessing you don’t have any administrative claims on this site either.
Seems like you got way to high a power trip THINKING you own this board and don’t even feel the need to contribute any monetary support of FR.
Maybe you might consider giving to FR in the Christmas Spirit. Knowing that does far greater than calling people names.
Just pointing out - some choose to donate anonymously for whatever reason.
That said, it’s always good to help support FR. It is a spark of free speech for conservatives in an increasingly hostile world.

Thanks, good story. I remember the basics from then. My schoolmate, Washington correspondent Tom DeFrank, wrote a book about Ford entitled Write It When I’m Gone, about off the record stories Ford told him. I’ll have to check it for any mention of this. I had a couple of minor contacts with President Ford, very likeable guy, and I felt fine about him having the nuclear football.
Something looks “off”. I noticed it too. President Trump looks pissed! It may have nothing to do with the ceremony - might have learned something before the ceremony started.

It seems, the 2nd wave was killing everybody, yet it didn’t fade away, it died suddenly in places in the US after the 2nd wave.
